Is Elvin Hayes' number even retired by the Rockets? I thought it was but when I search for a list of retired Rockets on Google none of them have Hayes
I'm afraid not, which is quite unfortunate. Can somebody shed light on this? He is 4th in all-time scoring; hard to believe his 44 isn't up in the rafters.
He only played 1 season of his prime in Houston and something like 5 or 6 overall for "the Rockets" (in San Diego and Houston). He came back to Houston at the end of his career, but by that time he was on the downslide. The bulk of his best years were as a Washington Bullet.
