Zimmerman's lawyer starts trial with knock knock joke. “Knock. Knock. Who is there?” West said. “George Zimmerman. George Zimmerman who? Ah, good. You’re on the jury.”
If your lawyer starts his opening statements with a knock knock joke you may have picked the wrong attorney.
I have to admit that line was a poor start for the Defense. However, I think the Prosecutors shock tactic was a poor choice too. Also, this was an incredibly dumb thing to say considering it's obvious there was a fight between Martin and Zimmerman.... Guy said, adding the evidence will show no blood on Trayvon's hands and no DNA from Zimmerman under his fingernails,
What is dumb about it? I would assume this would be easy to confirm. And if so, it completely blows Zimmerman's story out of the water
I have no idea But if the prosecution can prove that Martin didn't have any of Zimmerman's DNA or blood on him, that's a big hole for the defense to fill (and a big lie from Z, who we know has lied to the court in the past).
What about the witness who saw the Martin beating Zimmerman outside his back door? This has to be an act, you can't be this dumb.
Again, do we know this is fact? We'll have to wait and see. Either way, it sounds like Mr Z had a very bad first day in court.
If the prosecution is trying to get the jury to believe Martin didn't throw blows on Zimmerman, they might as well quit now.
No one is denying there wasn't an altercation, just that Martin did not have any of Zimmerman's blood or DNA on him.
So what is the Prosecution trying to prove then? If they are trying to prove that Martin didn't cause the injuries to Zimmerman they are foolish to try to run that up the flag pole. Most Martin supporters will admit Martin beat Zimmerman's ass (while claiming Zimmerman started it).
I guess that's for the jury to decide. But finding out Martin had no Zimmerman blood or DNA on him sheds some new light onto the story wouldn't you say?
