    Unprotected 1st rounder, huh?

Step 2: CP3 decides to join another team this summer.

Step 3: Clippers win the #1 pick in the 2015 draft. Celtics draft the next Kyrie Irving.

The Clips are complete morons. It's not like there was a shortage of coaches to hire (Karl, Hollins, Shaw). Yet they waste a first round pick. If they don't get Pierce and KG, they just blew it.

They won't get KG. Pierce is possible if they release him. And you forgot the part where they are paying Doc $7 mil a year where their other options would have been closer to the $3 mil mark.

I think it's all part of the same deal. I'm not sure KG accepts a trade with Doc being there.

The NBA has said there cannot be another trade between the Celtics and Clippers this season. They will view any player trade linked to this and will reject it.

    It was tweeted yesterday.

I guess everybody is a moron for not hiring an unproven Brian Shaw.

I can't stand how people keep pumping this guy up like he's Phil Jackson but there is no proof or anything out there other than Shaq saying "somebody needs to hire my boy B Shaw"

Really? So the purpose of getting Doc is just to get Chris Paul to stay?

Yep your absolutely correct. Now it would be hilarious if cp3 would depart with Howard to Houston ;).

We sign cp3. We get Howard via s&t through lakers. They get Thomas Robinson asik maybe Lin (pretty sure they don't want him). Unless they tank for wiggins or Lebron sweepstakes... Who knows.

CHris Paul doesn;t want to play for a white coach, so Karl is out. I wouldn't call Hollins or Shaw home run picks.

What's funny is that the Nets passed on Shaw because they said he was way too general in his future plans, and what he envisioned for the team going forward. Apparently Kidd was very succinct and specific in his vision.

Shaw has had bad interviews and that hurts. Plus the fact that every other Jackson decibel has been canned because of the failed Triangle.

Good for them, maybe Rivers can get Blake to man up and make him a nice player to watch. Right now, still the most hated team in the West ;)

Player players for coaches and side deals are prohibited by the CBA. What's stupid about that?

The part where any other deal that season is considered a side deal, even if it's not. That sounds like a "lets build an electric fence around the forest to prevent poaching" type of precedent.

That said... "this season"? That means until July 1. In practice, they might be able to revisit Garnett talks in a week.

I'm not even sure Phil Jackson ever instituted the triangle correctly himself without Tex Winter by his side.
