This was my prediction before the series started. In the NBA Finals Thread I correctly picked the Heat in 7: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/poll.php?do=showresults&pollid=9153 Won my final bet and hit my futures bet as well. It was a very profitable night. After I'm done celebrating these correct predictions, I'll post the betting slips and provide a final tally of my post-season record so that the haters and trolls will have no choice but to bow their heads in respect.
Bovada has got to be the worst sports betting site to ever existed. can't deposit a certain amount without errors, they don't take Master Card don't know what's all that about. I've used the same damn card to withdraw money the first time without any problems and now, I can't have a successful transaction and my money is still processing back to my account because Bovada didn't accept it in the first place. Horrible betting site all around, just horrible!!!
Damn, that sucks man. Guess I will have to stop recommending it to people. Let us know how it turns out.
Just to wrap things up for the post-season...here's my betting slip for game 7: Spoiler Uploaded with ImageShack.us Here's my futures bet that cashed...Got Miami at +250 to repeat as champs the day after they won the title last year: Spoiler Uploaded with ImageShack.us Initial leans on futures for next year are Miami to win East, OKC to win West, and Miami to 3peat at 3-1 odds. That's two years in a row where I've hit all my futures bets. I correctly picked the winner of the ECF, WCF, and NBA Finals last season and I correctly picked the winner of the ECF and NBA Finals again this season. My final record for the post-season is 42-21-1 for a .667 winning %. It's all documented. Shout out to all the haters and trolls who know nothing about basketball but will still question somebody else's bball knowledge. See you guys next season.
So THIS is the effing scrub the Rockets just picked up. I knew the name sounded familiar. There is now someone on the Rockets I hate
Ladies & Gentleman, Brothers & Sisters, Friends & Enemies...It's that time again! I was going to bump this thread in order to gauge the level of interest in continuing it, but there seems to be enough already to warrant doing so without asking, especially given this thread that was created yesterday: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=245714 Let's use this thread for all NBA related betting discussions and let's build, let's collaborate, let's debate as we try and beat the books this season. Initial leans for tomorrow: Cleveland +3.5 vs Nets Washington +3.5 vs. Pistons Houston -12 vs. Hornets New Orleans +2 vs. Pacers Trailblazers -5 vs. Suns Sacramento -2.5 vs. Nuggets Golden State -12 vs. Lakers I'm going to try to be more selective this season and will only make 3 or 4 bets per week. I'll probably just be betting two of these games tomorrow.
ahhh, you beat me to it my degenerate friend. I was debating whether to bump this one or start a new one... guess we'll just go with this one! I don't got anything useful for tomorrow but I like Houston.
I'm trying my luck this season too. I'm trying to find only matches where bookies are "wrong". Cleveland and Washington, same here. Houston...-12 is a lot. Certainly doable, but I fear Rockets will underestimate Bobcats. I know,it's freaking Bobcats! But McHale will use this game for experimenting and -12 is a stretch. New Orleans...you're leaning too much on preseason. Hibbert will shut Davis down like a fly. Trailblazers: that's the only game I put my money on, however I bet -3.5 (1.794 odd). Sacramento-Nuggets: Are you for real? With new coach, system, players and unpredictable Cousins...my pick is Nuggets +2.5 GSW are great and their core remains more or less intact, but I fear LAL can carry the momentum from LAC game forward. Not saying they will win, but -12 is too much.

Welcome to being a degenerate Koperboy. There's nothing like it, lol! Thanks for the feedback. In general, I won't have much time to provide detailed write-ups and analysis this season due to other obligations, but I'll be posting picks when I make them. Don't like laying double digits usually, but if Jefferson isn't 100%, then Bobcats don't have much offense outside of Kemba Walker. It would be interesting to see what Zeller and Biyombo can do, but I think Rockets would outlast them vis-a-vis spread. This is strictly a line movement play. Majority of betting public on Indy, but line has moved in favor of Pelicans. I also don't think Hibbert will be on Davis. He will be guarding Stiemsma or Smith. This is the question you have to ask yourself: If Indy is clearly the play here then why are they only favored by 2 points? This is a trap line if I've ever seen one. This is more of an auto bet against Phoenix than on Portland even though I like some of the moves the Blazers have made. Phoenix just looks bad. Of course I'm for real. Kings play well at home and Denver is going to be missing some key players due to injury and I think overall they'll regress this year. There's a reason the Kings are favored to win this game. Not sure about this game either. GState could come out and win by 20-25 or this could be a close game. Lakers starters got a lot of rest tonight and I'm not sure if D'Antoni is going to stick with his original plan of resting Nash for this game. I'll most likely stay away here. Another game I'm looking at is Minn -9.5 vs. the Magic. If the T-Wolves can stay healthy, they have a shot at the 8th seed. I like their team and I think they can cover here.
I'm not sure what you mean...I'm trying to find odds where bookmakers are underrating or overrating a team.
Thanks! Obviously I'm very inexperienced, so we'll see what will come out of it. I agree on DEN-SAC, especially after I read about Lawson not liking Shaw's new tactics (pound inside with McGee and Faried) in today's Denver post. And SAC will be highly motivated after they've been able to keep the team in the city. As for POR-PHX...I fear Portland's bench will play a lot in this game and will squander the lead starters will provide. Also Dragič (my countryman ) and Bledsoe will not let this game to become a major blowout.
