don't know why everyone is bashing the OP so badly. that was very very close to a travel since his left foot almost came off the floor. in fact i thought he had shuffled his feet watching it live and on some replays too. while i agree after getting a close up shot that he didn't lift his pivot foot all the way he did still turn the heel which made it look like a travel. don't understand how everyone is saying its not even close...

If the rules of basketball were officiated as Dr. Naismith intended, no PG would ever be able to bring the ball up the court without a carry or palming being called. No post player or wing in an iso situation who receives a pass in the post or out at the 3-pt line and proceeds to shuffle his feet 4-6 times before he ever considers putting the ball on the floor, all are travels, everytime, without exception. There is a lane violation if not 5 on EVERY free throw attempt ever taken, especially at the end of games when a rebound will seal the game. There is supposed to be no more checking by defenders, yet it happens on every post up and drive, every time down the floor. If the rules were called as they were made to be, every player would foul out and each team would challenge turnover records with each passing game. Please dismount the high horse. You cant call that travel and ignore the 100 or so that happened earlier in game 7. The game is this way. Don't throw a rule at a star player just because you happened to notice that he broke one on a key shot during the game. It happens constantly, you cant pick and choose when it should matter. Call them all or let them play.
