How could Dwight decide he was signing with the Rockets when they haven't expressed interest in him?

Your obsession with this is crazy. Let it go. Circumvention is real.

Edit: My response is assuming you mean before July 1st. After that, it's not an issue at all and isn't the same thing as what is going on right now.

Nawwwwwwwwww, haven't expressed interest in him. Already been fined for saying they're going after the top 2 free agents. But haven't expressed an interest in him. Harden and Parsons out there meeting him for dinner...sending word back to Morey.

Naw.....Dwight is CLUELESS that the Rox are interested in him!!!

    ROFL

    See where this stuff goes???

What are you trying to prove with your tangents? That there should be no rules against circumvention or tampering? That they don't exist? That the NBA sucks? What is your point?

Dwight and KG can make deals with each other all they want and decide where they want to play or whatever. It's only a side deal of some sort if the Rockets and another team are involved in making a behind-the-scenes deal. That's not the case in your example, unless I'm misunderstanding you.

No - because players can decide whatever they want.

That's not against the rules - again, players can decide whatever they want. The rules prevent two teams from making side deals - not two players.

"Oh and we're gonna sack Doc."

Doc Rivers will probably be fired within the next 48 hours and find a job on the Clippers. Then the Clippers will just make a single trade for Kevin Garnett.

So you can trade a coach? No you can't. Yes you can. No you can't. Yes you can.

How is this not a trade?

If the CBA is about what is allowed then where in the CBA are teams allowed to compensate other teams to release a coach from contract?

OH...and as far as Chris Paul goes....I would think he's facing fine and suspension.

It's not a trade because Doc Rivers is released from his contract. If it were a trade, the Clippers would get Doc's contract too, but they don't - they have to agree on a separate deal with him. If they don't, he's a free agent.

Wow. Nowhere close to the nixed Gasol/CP3 deal, but still in the same vein.

So what happens when the Garnett/Jordan deal goes down, and the Clips fire their coach midseason and hire Rivers?

After talks failed again on Friday, the Boston Celtics' Doc Rivers will no longer pursue the Los Angeles Clippers' coaching job, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

Rivers will make a choice between returning to the Celtics for his 10th season as coach or leaving for television, sources told Yahoo! Sports.

"The deal is completely dead," a source directly involved in the talks said Friday.

The ramifications for the Clippers could be significant, because free agent All-Star guard Chris Paul had badly wanted Rivers as his coach and had pushed management to complete a deal with Boston, sources said.

The Clippers raised the idea of a future second-round draft pick with Boston on Friday, sources said, but Celtics general manager Danny Ainge had been clear throughout the discussions that it would take a first-round pick to free Rivers of the three years left on his Celtics deal.
