This is true, but it's worth noting that last summer was much more complicated. Even now, I think most folks (apparently RickyNewport is in denial) around the league still agree that the Rockets had the best offer for Orlando. What made it complicated was that Orlando tried to accommodate Dwight/Fegan when possible, and there was a complex calculus going on of trying to find a deal that worked for the Magic + didn't piss off Dwight/Fegan too much. How much weight was given to each side, we still don't know. It seemed inevitable based on the Rockets having the most assets, but there was another layer to the equation. This summer, it's simple as it gets: What does Dwight want? He's a free agent and it's all about him. I don't think that means Woj is perfect, but I think it's a much easier scenario for him to prognosticate.
It's frustrating how some people don't appreciate inside info when they get it. The Clutch Crew ban people all the time, yet cyberx has been here longer than I have. That should tell you all you need to know about him. I give him credit, if I knew the things he knew, I'd spill the beans in a heartbeat. Also, if I got as much crap as he has from some people, I'd straight up say screw y'all and leave. The Rockets aren't even his favorite team. There's no way in hell I'd spend my time informing other teams fans with info that had nothing to do with the Rockets.

He's reading the tea leaves and making an educated (more educated than us) guess when he says stuff like that. He can't account for things he doesn't know or can't foresee though.
Yes, because the only value to cap flexibility is acquiring stars via free agency. It's not like a rebuilding club managed to sign Jeremy Lin and Omer Asik last offseason, who became cornerstones on a playoff team. Oh, wait. It's not like teams with cap flexibility and young assets are major players in trades. Oh, wait.

Yeah, even with the strong finish at the end of the season I can't see the Lakers thinking that this team, minus Kobe, is going to do anything but struggle to land an eight again. If Howard resigns it may even end up landing us Gasol on the cheap, which may even be a better fit in our current situation.
Possibly a new coach but that's not happening. People say that he wants the Lakers to kiss his ass but I don't really buy that. Hopefully, it'll be like Lebron's decision minus the hoopla. JUST WIN. A decision based solely on winning.

I'm not putting too much into it. He's trying to recharge the most he can so he'll be ready to play for a serious contender. I'm almost certain his basketball life was pretty terrible all last year dealing with the LA media and Kobe.
My thoughts are "Stupid post is stupid." Lots of players can't or won't watch the playoffs when they are knocked out.
Why is it an all-or-nothing proposition? It's like some of you think he's either an all-knowing God or a complete fraud who should be banned/stoned. Yes, I believe he's a professional in the industry. As a result, he's not going to get banned. On the other hand, that doesn't make him infallible source of information. Agents and people connected to them leak pure bull**** all the time. It's a part of their job. As for his motivation for being here, uh, the Rockets have been the chief opposition to "his team" for two consecutive offseasons. If he can help change the narrative -- and the Rockets are 50% of the equation -- who does that potentially benefit?
You're still missing a player and he had a great year for a youngster. And as valued as big men are in this league _ Orlando got a better deal than what the Rockets where offering.

Actually, what's valued in the league is three things: stars, the flexibility to get stars, and draft picks (potential). The Rockets offered significantly more of the latter two. For a rebuilding club, that's much more valuable than one solid big man while tying your hands financially and getting little in the way of draft picks.
dont wnna read too much into it...but it shows hes not a fan of the game. it shows that dwight doesn't LOVE the game with a passion. maybe that's why he doesnt spent his free time working on his post moves. I guarantee Kobe is glued to the tv screen during finals.
