Jordan was 20-22 when he came in the league. Lebron was 18. It took Lebron longer than Jordan although they were the same age. In less time, Jordan accomplished more.

Yeah, but history doesn't remember that. The fact is that they were both around the same age when they won and, because of that LeBron will have plenty of time to catch Jordan. He probably won't because six is a very high bar to set. But again, it's dumb to use titles to judge a player because there is so much that goes into them that the player has no say in.
I've never been one to say that Lebron is the greatest player ever (probably borderline top-10 at this point, IMO). But who else in today's NBA is even in the conversation for best player? Chris Paul, the guy who watched his team blow four straight games in the first round? Kobe Bryant, the guy who had three HOF teammates but his team couldn't clinch a playoff spot until they won tough back-to-back games against playoff opponents without him? Kevin Durant, the guy Lebron outclassed in the Finals just a year ago and who shot 15-48 in his team's last two losses of this postseason?
When Kobe misses a shot in the same situation and his teammate rebounds it, they like to call that a "Kobe assist." Lebron does it and he's a choker.
Of course had say but you don't put a title on one guy. It's just a really stupid way to judge players in any team sport.
Isiah Thomas was 4-12 with 10 points in the game following the sprained ankle game (and watched his team blow a 3-2 Finals lead). MJ shot 15-35 the game following the flu game. The performance in the next game takes absolutely nothing away from it. Even then, Lebron finished with 20/14/8 in that "crappy" game (only 3-11 shooting and 14-19 FTs).
I have a question for some of you comparing Jordan and Lebron. I personally can say that I never watched MJ during his prime, but only his wizard years. I could tell from his Wizard years he must have been a hell of a player when he was younger, because without his athleticism he was still extremely dominant. I've pretty much followed Lebron from his Cleveland days and there's no one even close to his level right now besides maybe KD on the odd occasion. I hear a lot of people say the Heat team isn't even close to being as good as the Chicago Bulls teams MJ was on. Then I also see people say that Lebron's team is stacked and that the big 3 essentially SHOULD win the title every year. Thinking about it logically, doesn't that mean MJ should have won all his titles, as he has a MUCH BETTER team around him than Lebron? Doesn't it make Lebron's road to a championship tougher because his teams were not as good? Everyone says Pippen > Wade and Rodman > Bosh, so does that mean Lebron's carrying a larger load for every title?
Hardly gutwrenching. I hate on Lebron so it makes meaningless games (meaningless because I'm a Rockets fan) more exciting to watch. I'll probably be disappointed when he wins a ring, but I will wake up the next morning worrying about Rockets free agency and forgetting about Lebron because in the end neither team winning the chip mean anything to me It was probably more gut wrenching for you when Kobe was hoisting those finals MVP trophies a couple of years ago as you sincerely despise him.
Let's be clear: I don't despise Kobe; I despise his sycophant entourage. And yes, it was painful knowing that they were happy, but at least I can take solace knowing that that ship has sailed and they are hating life right now!

The paint is usually less crowded when Kobe is taking jump shots because teams don't sag so far off him like the Spurs are playing LeBron. But calling it a Kobe assist is plain dumb.
Is it blind? He'll go down as one of the greatest players ever, and he just put together an all-time great season. It's not "worshiping", it's just giving credit where credit is obviously due.
I don't understand the people here who say that Ray Allen bailed out Lebron. The greatest 3 point shooter in NBA history hit a 3. That's what he is suppose to do. That is why they signed him. Having a teammate do what he is suppose to do is not getting bailed out. If Wade was healthy enough to do what he is suppose to do and Bosh...who knows what his problem is but if he was doing what he was suppose to do it would be a blowout. Fact: Ray Allen has the most 3 pointers in NBA History. His % is among the highest ever. Even this year he was ranked in the top 15 as an old man. Where do you feel Lebron ranks in the guys playing right now? I don't care about all time. That seems like a silly argument to have especially when comparing the iso era to the zone defense era but whatever. Jordan was better. Whatever you like. But is Lebron the best right now? If not, who is? Who would you take on your team if you had your choice? Personally, I think Lebron is the best player in the NBA by far. He can shoot, drive and he is really really strong. I'm not really a fan of his. The only thing he has really done that I liked was getting out of Cleveland but it is what it is. He is the best. My longhorn KD is a solid 2nd but there is no one I would want more anchoring a team than Lebron.

I respect the hell out of Lebron as a player, think he's the best player in the world currently, would love to have him as a Rocket, and think he has a solid chance to eventually be a top 5 all time NBA legend. Just. Not. Yet.
I don't see anyone in this thread calling him a top-5 all-time NBA legend. The thread is titled "LeBron chokes again" which is just idiotic, the same as writing "Jordan chokes again" in '90.
As a person claiming ignorance on the situation, you pretty much nailed it on the head. Either way, Wade and Bosh have not played like Wade and Bosh for about two years. Lebron would be better off if the Heat were to trade Wade while they can. It would be awesome to see a Boston/Heat trade or a Clipper/Heat trade.
Competition for those teams > competition now Also rule changes favor guards more today than back then. Regardless, miami is stacked with stars and good role players. Moreso than Chicago was (in comparison to the competition).
