Found the same - last podcast of Woj on FoxSports is on the 17th, where as you said, Woj said it's more likely (IF they do a S&T), it's more likely it's with Houston. Woj on he 17th: Clippers holding Bledsoe because they may make a run at Dwight Howard? I think they'll try. I've been told...the Lakers have been clear with everyone they have no interest in a sign and trade. Part of that is leveraging because the moment they get into a S&T, they're making it easy for Dwight to leave. They're gonna dare Dwight to take the 4 year deal somewhere else, take less money. They have a level of confidence that they can keep him. The Lakers have never lost a player of this caliber. I think if they're going to do a S&T, I still think it's more likely they do it with Houston. They could get back Asik, who I know they like. Mike D'Antoni still likes Jeremy Lin.
Ha, thanks. All that said, it's not impossible that Woj may have said it; obviously I haven't listened to every second of every interview he's done on the Petros show. But it's perfectly clear that even if he did, it was a throwaway line referencing a fact we already knew: that if all things were equal, Dwight likes LA as a city more than Houston. Well, duh. Fortunately for us, he continues to insist that it's about winning, and the Rockets look much better prepared for that pursuit. The point is that once you listen to Woj speak and/or read his recent articles and tweets on the subject, it's clear that everything is status quo. But if you pull a quote like that out of context -- even if it's accurate (and it may not be) -- you can make it seem like a bombshell, when in reality it's mundane and what we already knew. That's fine for Laker fans to do, but we need to try and avoid spreading their propaganda when possible.
I don't even sign in much but I wanted to thank Cat and MR. JR for his updates after he posted that I went nuts thouught it was game over I started to lurk FG but came to my senses back to lurk mode
This was clearly not said, I don't think he even ever said that. I swear, I will never repost from LakersGround again lol. But hey, its not like its the first time someone has falsely posted info!
Right, because this is the exact same Houston team in the exact same situation. Keep trolling away though.
Enjoy yourself, troll. If one of us said just one far milder comment on Lakersground about Dwight possibly going to Houston, we'd be tossed in a New York minute. That shows how vastly different ClutchFans is compared to that place and a host of others. Clutch puts up with one hell of a lot because he's a class act. Puts up with more than he should, in my humble opinion.
But more like 22 before we get any chance at a resolution Oh and lookee here: http://www.sbnation.com/nba/2013/6/19/4446460/doc-rivers-kevin-garnett-celtics-clippers-trade Typical, amirite?
So...if this trade does go through, is that good for us? Would that mean the Cloppers are commited to CP3 and he to the team? I mean, a line-up of Paul/Pierce/Butler/Griffin/Garnett is pretty legit.
Woj actually mentioned Shaq. I know at the end with Shaq, he was ready to go I guess but if they would have paid Shaq, he would have stayed.
Really hard to say. I think it is good for us. CP3 will want SOME change this offseason. Getting KG and Doc Rivers and maybe even Paul Pierce should be enough to satiate his hunger haha. He might still push for a BG <-> Howard swap, but if that falls through, LAC feels like they've done something. CP3 most likely hates the status quo, but could be convinced to stay if LAC doing SOMETHING. This satisfies the 'something'.
