This is why there is no harm in voicing your opinion as loudly as possible about this stuff. No doubt the gamers voices had some say in this (Maybe the pre-order numbers too? That's just speculation though...) they did the right thing I feel, and now if I do buy one I won't feel guilty about supporting it.
That's pretty huge, if it turns out to be huge. I was leaning towards XBone because of it's initial game releases and exclusives...if I was 70% XBone, I'd probably be about 80-85% XBone now. The regulations they had in place didnt bother me much to begin with, but knowing that they care enough and can adapt to the desires of the gamers is important. EDIT Just saw it is true...I posted without reading the entire thread.
Well, there go almost all my objections. Still would've gotten one eventually regardless, but this means I will probably just get it sooner.
That's cool if true but that is not my biggest concern. I don't a want a spy box, get me a sku without Kinect and I'm in.
Damn this makes my decision much harder, i was leaning towards the ps4 but nowt i doesn't really have anything on xbox. If anything xbox has some things on ps4, with the entertainment option. Xbox's kinect does irk me though, to know anybody can hack into it and listen and watch what your doing 24/7. If your being invested by the FBI or police you can bet there going to tap in on your xbox easy. Its gonna be a tough choice now, neither ps4 or xbox are done yet so i'm just gonna have to wait until one pulls in front of the other with a new feature and what not.
Not entirely shocked, but still just a bit surprised that they actually went through with this. The capabilities to bring them all back are still there obviously, but I doubt they'll have the balls to pull it on us this generation. This definitely brought up just a bit of temptation to give Xbox a chance again, but I'm probably still going to get a PS4 once a few more notable titles are announced. The PS3 didn't disappoint this past...current gen.
Awesome news. The consumer wins once again. I will preorder a Xbox one now, so now I will have both the ps4 and Xbox 1. Will look into purchasing a 50 inch 4k tv for my next gen consoles.
Wow reversing course...didn't matter much to me but I know it did a lot of people. Although it does sadden me some that maybe they won't be able to achieve some of the things they hoped from a gaming standpoint. At the same time, it allows for a more natural progression to an all digital, always-online format that a majority just didn't care for yet.
