Just saw it this afternoon. Pretty good. In general, I'm not a fan of musicals, but this one was worth seeing. I've been a fan of South Park for a long time, but I don't think you have to like one to enjoy the other. Just be aware that there's crass humor and the f word is used quite often. Not sure my parents would enjoy it, but my wife and I sure as hell did!

You can go on your AMEX account online and go to their "Entertainment Center" or whatever it's called. I just did that and I think the cheapest tickets were about $62 per ticket, which is pretty good.

For those of us without an AMEX, is there a way to get a ticket yet?

Saw some stuff on a google search of "Book of Mormon Houston" but I can't vouch for their authenticity.

Yeah there's a bunch on StubHub, but after hearing about that good price I don't want to pay $177/ticket.

Is the AMEX ticket personalized? Or could I have someone with an AMEX buy the tickets for me?

I saw it last night. Seemed like a lot of 7th grade humor. Its kind of interesting they picked the Mormons to go after. I wonder what would have happen if they picked the Qur'an. I guess they figured the Mormons are among the nicer people and wouldn't start anything. Heck the Mormon Church bought ads in the playbill which is pretty funny.

I saw it when I was in London. Cost was about that... $150 or so. The show is absolutely hilarious. If you like their South Park movie music you should like the music in this one. The guy who wrote the music in this one is the same guy who did Frozen with his wife.

They've gone after the Prophet before. Comedy Central later admitted to censoring some of their final cut.

Heading to Sal Tlay Ka Siti today to see if it a metaphor.

My mother once told me of a place
    With waterfalls and unicorns flying
Where there was no suffering, no pain
Where there was laughter instead of dying

I always thought she'd made it up
To comfort me in times of pain
But now I know that place is real
    Now I know it's name

    Sal Tlay Ka Siti
Not just a story Momma told
    But a village in Utah
Where the roofs are thatched with gold
If I could let myself believe
I know just where I'd be
Right on the next bus to Paradise
    Sal Tlay Ka Siti

I can imagine what it must be like
    This perfect, happy place
I'll bet the goat meat there is plentiful
And they have vitamin injections by the case

    The warlords there are friendly
They help you cross the street
And there's a Red Cross on every corner
With all the flour you can eat

    Sal Tlay Ka Siti
The most perfect place on Earth
The flies don't bite your eyeballs
    And human life has worth
It isn't a place of fairytales
It's as real as it can be
A land where evil doesn't exist
    Sal Tlay Ka Siti

And I'll bet the people are openminded
And don't care who you ?
And all I hope is that when I find it
    I'm able to fit in
    Will I fit in?

    Sal Tlay Ka Siti
A land of hope and joy
And if I want to get there
I just have to follow that white boy

    You were right Momma
    You didn't lie
    The place is real
    And I'm gonna fly

    I'm on my way
Soon life won't be so ****ty
    Now salvation has a name
    Sal Tlay Ka Siti

I ended up seeing it a week or two ago. Absolutely loved it. The Hobby Center had a deal where you show up about 2 hours ahead of showtime and could enter a raffle for $26 tickets. My gf and I went on a rainy day when almost no one showed up early so we got the heavily discounted tickets. Ended up being in the front row and center. Not the best seats to be in but still very enjoyable.

I paid 150 gbp per ticket for the London show in 2013. Demand is so high it is ridiculous but whatever. It is a good show.
