Lebron looks like a Senior in High School playing with 6th graders. They won and they guy looked totally dejected at the end...almost like he knew the haters of the greatest physical specimen in all of sports would be out in droves. “I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. It's why people loved Michael, he wasn't just the best, he was the coolest. Lebron is by far the best player, he just isn't the coolest. Apologizing to DWade at the end of the game. Dwade should have apologized to him for playing like bum.
There was only a game "late in the game" because of lebron. Those turnovers would not have meant anything if he wasn't scoring like a madman and getting that monster block in the minutes before.
Lebron looked shook honestly. Complaining about every call, scared to take the shot, making turnover after turnover. Even Wade got into the action resorted to crying about not getting foul calls because the whole Heat team just couldn't buy a bucket during a critical stretch of the 4th quarter. They wanted the refs to bail them out. Not sure if you guys remember the moment where the Heat CROWD crying about the refs chanting "referees suck". It was hilarious. The Heat was atrocious and the Spurs were all business, no smiles or celebrations. Even after Lebron made that 3 to bring the Heat within 2, the body language of the Heat in the huddle looked like the defeated team. Lebron should thank Ray Allen for saving his legacy, which would've been ripped to shreds if not for that amazing (and lucky) sequence to tie the game.
Imagine how much criticism LeBron would have gotten had he reversed the halves- huge first half, then put the headband back on for the 2nd half. He did what everyone wants him to do, still can't win in the eyes of public perception. It's amazing the espn radio talk shows are having to do so much damage control the morning after a performance like that.
Lebron got them back in the game...and Bosh and Allen were clutch... Lebron was trying really hard last night to loose the game...offensive foul, fast break turnover...and remember he badly bricked the first three attempt and was lucky to get another crack at the 3...oh and did i forget...TP's 3 pt j in Lebron's face...lebron's careless turnover inside the paint to bosh that was picked off by TP...Lebron made terrific plays...but closing time, the guy shriveled...maybe its best if the ball goes to Bosh(lol)... Bosh and Allen made the huge clutch plays both defensively and offensively...Miami's season was saved bc of Jesus Shuttleworth and a ninja turtle with long mutant arms....
The "scared to take shots" was so obvious from James and Wade. The Spurs have made these guys struggle by daring them to shoot. I actually thought that he had become a better face up shooter but there is no confidence in that shot. In the second to last play in regulation his shot didn't even hit rim, now he was able to make it on the second attempt but it doesn't really look like a consistent release to me. Pops has made hay with Boris Diaw just giving him the jumper. You would never be able to do that to Kobe or Jordan.
It actually is, for the most part James did his thing. The chokers are Wade and Bosh and everyone else on the Heat not named Ray Allen. When they put this team together I thought they would have a nice 5-6 year window to win championships. Right now, if Wade's knee doesn't improve, this team is no better than the team surrounding James in Cleveland.
I dislike Lebron as a fan. But I can not deny from what I saw yesterday, that as soon as the headband came off, he imposed his will like no other to help win the game. He had his ups and downs, but clearly he affected the outcome of last night's game, more so than any other player on both teams.
Not sure we saw the same game. To me, he couldn't impose his will as he wanted so he to relegated to flopping and complaining to refs. It wasn't Jordanesque imposing will by any means.
