Magic, Scott, "Big Game, James", Green, & "Cream" are back and Jones played to their level? That really is impressive!
Why are 90% of your posts just stupid pictures? And this one is completely off as a great Performance off the bench isn't spoiled by our loss. Try to add something meaningful dude.
It's a good thing we already have our star forward!! <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/1sqd7111b1U" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Warning!!! The music sucks! <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/9Z4K_n19Ehg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Only played 19 professional games and still got honorable mention at the end of the season.
TJones averaged 5.5/3.4 and a block in 14 minutes in his first season (that's 11/7/2 per 30 min.), with very inconsistent playing-time ...and he got even better towards the end of the season. Let's stop all of this talk about Jones not being a 4. The guy is a 4. He's 6'9.5" with a 7'2" wingspan. He can bang down low; he's actually a gifted rebounder ...averaging 7.5 boards in 17 minutes during his brief time in the playoffs. His blend athleticism, strength, and size is rare. This kid is a keeper and i expect him to take a big step forward next year, and hold down the starting 4-spot.
There should be a rule against members ego-bumping their own long-dead threads for no apparent reason.
I think he can be as productive and can contribute to us as much as Carl Landry. He should try to get bigger this offseason though.
I don't think he's going to get any taller, and he already weighs 252 pounds. The guy looks solid as a rock. How big do you want him to get?
I haven't seen too much of his play since he left for Sacramento, but would Landry be starting for us if we had held on to him? How much of that explosiveness would does he still have?
Jones would have a huge breakout season if they focused mainly on playing him at the 4 and occasionally at the 5. Never at the SF spot.
I think my ideal scenario for this offseason is to sign Dwight and stand pat after that except for maybe another Delfino type signing. It will be hard to resist the temptation of going after "win now" vets like KG, but I'm still pretty excited to watch Jones and D-Mo grow. I think you keep Asik, groom those two (let them battle it out for PT after DH and Asik), and then make a deal somewhere down the road to ship a couple of them out to upgrade somewhere.
Initially I was high on Jones' potential but since then my opinion has gone the other way. Morey can easily find a replacement for these type of players in the 2nd round. If his inconsistency follows him to the pros, it just might be what his game is. Best case potential in this scenario is Kenny Thomas.
Especially ego-bumping one of the all-time most ridiculous threads in clutchfans history. I would be ashamed if I created this thread. When I saw this thread got bumped, the only reason I opened it was to see who bumped it to make fun of CoachBadLee. Imagine my surprise to see he bumped it himself.
