It's Howard's call, not the Lakers'. Or Rockets for that matter.

People really feel the need to explain that he was just joking? It's Ron...talking about tying up Dwight's nuts..

It was a joke back to the MWP joking.

But, it may actually be the Lakes' call - - if they say, 'Yes' to the rumored offer then I'd be shocked, shocked I say, if DHoHo ain't being lobbed by his his chief lobbyist.

Yes, Dwight said he wanted time to get away, be alone, whatever but...I guess I'm a little surprised.

Pau Gasol said he hasn't talked to Dwight Howard this offseason & won't try to convince him to return: "He has to make the decision."
— Mark Medina (@MarkG_Medina) June 4, 2013

At least Kobe, maybe, still supports him, wants him back? Ha.

Steve Blake I'm sure would "love to have him back", ha, just like all the rest of them.

We'd love to have him back! But we're not recruiting him or anything like that. We're the Lakers. We don't need to recruit. Doesn't Dwight Howard know who we are, who he's playing for? If you want to leave, fine, leave. Go have fun in the boring, polluted-ass-city. We're the Lakers and we'll get anybody we want!

why does Howard stay? The Lakers should of let Kobe go 2 years ago. If by a miracle they are able to get a young allstar they will be the bobcats. Its the sad (Not really) truth. Only backup people have is "Laker Legecy." and they should be thankful they have it because without it, you know the rest. I cant figure out who I hate for Fakers are Dwade. Does that dude have to fall down and look cool doing it. I aint got no man crush but damn! Its like synchronized water dancers. I swear if the dude ran back on defense without trying to look cool doing it, I think he would be faster.

Artest actually had a decent season, if he gets amnestied i wouldn't mind the rox picking him up as a backup.

The one that has beautiful sunsets on almost a daily basis because of smog?

I wonder what Ron thinks he has on Dwight?

Some of the players on the Lakers are genuinely good guys and have pride. They know that they're old and in asking Dwight to stay is just to salvage their career and it really does nothing for D12. Hell If I had a superstar teammate, team full of potentials, I would convince him not to leave the team.

So everyone thinks D12 should leave.
Laker players arent convincing him to stay, except for Kobe, but he'd do anything to win.

come to us D12 we got, candy
