I like McHale but if we could nab George Karl, that is big upgrade.

I bet Boston asked. Or at least has interest in McHale. I remember hearing that Ainge had interest in McHale coaching a while ago, during one if these times when Doc was contemplating whether to continue. Besides, if Woj was asking a HOU exec a hypothetical question, he must have a reason to ask it. Why didn't he ask the same hypothetical question to other teams' execs?

One coach who won’t be participating in the offseason NBA coaching carousel is the Bulls’ Tom Thibodeau.

Early Sunday afternoon, there were whispers that if the Boston Celtics trade coach Doc Rivers in a package to the Los Angeles Clippers, Thibodeau would be on the radar as a possible replacement. But an NBA source indicated Sunday evening that the Celtics would not pursue Thibodeau because they know the Bulls would not grant permission to speak to the former Celtics associate head coach.

He has a live contract. We hope he will be a major come-on for Dwight to consider HOU. We rescued from his bad reputation as a coach. Oh no, BOS, you won't pull a fast one over us.

I'm really not worried about McHale. I'm wondering if we are going to be able to trade Hinkie to Philly in a similar fashion to what Celts are trying to do with Doc. Something like TRob and Royce to Philly for their #11 pick and rights to sign Hinkie to be HC.

I'm sure you mean Chris Finch.

    Hinkie is already the GM.

"EVIDENCE OF ABSENCE"? Dude, calm down. "Evidence of absence" is almost an oxymoron. Examples:

Give evidence of the absence of 50 million extraterrestrials living in Arkansas.

Give evidence of the absence of a fifty-armed god named Cluggleclug.

Give evidence of the absence of 50000 Jimi Hendrix imitators this month rehearsing a rock opera named "Pencil- and Lipstick-tube Shaped Things Continue to Rain and Cause Screaming Pain."

    Etc.

(It's really hard to give evidence of absence.)

We all know KG has a no-trade, right? That he would only waive to go to LAC WITH Doc, right?

Bledsoe - - I wish he were going to C's. His presence with the Clips scares me for SnT purposes.

McHale got frustrated with so much roster turn over and playing the young guys.

He does not want to be part of a rebuilding project in Boston.
