People are reading way too much into this. A reporter may have even asked a hypothetical question like "How about McHale to Boston." and were told that Kevin McHale is under contract.

I am not even sure that the Boston trade is going to happen.

THERE IS NO EVIDENCE THAT MCHALE WANTED TO INTERVIEW WITH THE CELTICS.

How many 12ers broke their keyboards when they read this?

    1. If McHale wants to interview with another team, by all means, let him. Why keep a coach who'd rather be somewhere else?

    2. WTH is it with the Rockets and head coaches?

Would anybody be on board to give up Asik if we get Jeff Green in return? Guy is finally getting health. Possibly green 1st rounder and Garnett for asik, Lin and Robinson. Obviously would only be done with getting Dwight for sure. Green would be a stellar 6th man and could play some pack up SG as well to create mismatches with garden at PG Parsons at SF, Garnett at 4 and Dwight at 5. Would be such a scary line up for opposing teams.

Oh this is assuming we already got Dwight? Shoot, lots of win-only moves ONCE we get Dwight haha.

You have no clue if McHale even wanted to interview with Boston or not. All you know for sure is that the Rockets declined permission for the Celtics to talk to McHale.

Lin is your favorite Rockets point guard of all time.

THE ABSENCE OF EVIDENCE IS NOT THE EVIDENCE OF ABSENCE.

Bill Simmons said it best. There is NO way Doc could return to Boston after this scenario was presented. How could he ever be considered anything but a hypocrite when he criticizes Ray Allen for bolting to Miami when he himself a year later is asking for permission to bolt himself.

I still think the Clippers crack, and send Bledsoe to Boston. Both sides want this trade badly.

Nah, I think Celts crack instead. Clipps have more leverage. Celts are the ones out on a limb here. Prob keep Bledsoe, take some bad contracts.

    LAC Out:
    Butler
    Jordan
    1st round pick

    LAC In:
    Lee
    KG
    Doc Rivers

Probably something like that. Then expect Pierce to find his way to LAC.

I disagree. The Clipps are in a race to keep CP3. THAT is what this was all about in the first place.

    What if...

The Rockets trump the Clipps....send Asik, Lin, power forward of Boston's choice AND Mchale to Boston for KG and Doc. We find a salary dump to clear the remaining space needed for CP3, and we get KG to sign for the MLE.

    CP3
    Harden
    Parsons
    KG
    Dwight
