Last year this poor excuse of a shooting coach said the same thing, and we all know how that turned out. Good thing he improved over the course of the season.

I say 37%. 37.8% if he buys his shoes one size smaller. 38% if he buys his shoes one size smaller and passes it back to harden with one second left after harden passes it to him with 1.7 left.

Can't believe he's still sticking with "Doc", the girls b-ball coach, with proven NBA shooting coaches at his disposal and the money to spend. If Scheppler wanted what was best for Lin, he'd suggest Lin experiment with other professionals' critiques/methods/techniques/drills, and choose the most effective coach. Too much at stake to not explore other options. It's like getting diagnosed with something serious without seeking a second opinion. Lin's loyalty is hurting him here.

Does anyone know how or who Lowry increased his 3pt shooting by 10% the summer of 2010? He went from 5 years of shooting 25-27% up to 36-37% and stayed there.

Still somewhat shocked at those who seem to feel Lin doesn't have the (obvious) potential to improve his shot.

His work ethic has never been questioned.

He, Harden and Delfino (briefly) were the only three Rockets out shooting EARLY before the Mavericks game I attended earlier this year.

I don't know what percentage he was hitting, but he was nearly just as automatic as Harden was. Sure, I realize it's practice/warm ups, but his "form" isn't a problem. With Lin, it's confidence and thinking too much.

If guys like Kyle Lowry and Jason Kidd can become VERY good three point shooters, there's no doubt Lin can.

Hell, he shot .398 from downtown in the last THIRTY-EIGHT GAMES of the season, guys.

Come on, man. Have some faith/optimism.

At first glance I thought he had a bunch of water bongs in the background.

3 point shooting has more to do with fitness than form.

Better yet, Lin needs to seek the shooting coach for his friend Steph Curry. If Lin can shoot like Curry. It will be delicious.:p:grin:

His shot, when he doesn't delay at the top of his jump, looks a lot like Danny Green

Jeremy is back in Houston. Someone mentioned probably to use the Rockets training facility. Is he training with someone in Houston?

+/- 80% in practice is AVERAGE for a PG at his level. So, kudos to him for making efforts to improve, but this is nothing to celebrate, period.
Wake us when he translates that to action on the court in games that count.

    http://articles.latimes.com/2013/feb/16/sports/la-sp-sn-nba-three-pointer-20130215

Steve Kerr, who made an NBA-record 45.4% of his three-point shots over the course of his career, said the shot becomes such second nature that a good long-range shooter should be able to make 80% of his attempts in warmups, assuming there’s no pressure or a hand in his face.

“Guys can make 25 in a row,” said Kerr, an analyst for TNT who will be calling Sunday’s All-Star game. “I’ve seen guys do that. I’ve done it in practice. But you get in a game with defense, pressure, fatigue, and you’re not taking consecutive shots. You’re taking one every six minutes or whatever, then it becomes tougher.”
