I will admit I don't expect it either. Truth is PS4 is going to absolutely bank at the beginning with "gamers" making a "statement"... Then again PS4 has done nothing to win the beginning of this gen except fuel the fire by releasing its price point and curving the truth about game policies so it sounds like there are none. I still don't see what PS4 the actual console is offering that is in any way even close to Xbox One. But hey, its cheaper and game trading right? That's fine. Xbox will survive. I just want to see how PS handles the pressure when people start demanding things on the Xbox One because they just realized that it does work and that it is convenient. I wonder how PS will react to the advanced Kinect system they don't have. I doubt PS4 has the as we say in basketball "ceiling" that Xbox One has. The beginning of this gen is clear. But what matters most is what happens during it. All games shown at E3 look good. they are suppose to. Both consoles have equal chance of their exclusives sucking. Its during the span of the consoles lives that will determine what console is worth it... And if the PS4 is just simply going to be a 1st round bust...

Ryse, Forza, KI, and FIFA were on actual Xbox One hardware. May not have been high-end PCs, though not sure. edit: I missed that all PS4 games were running on PS4 hardware. I assumed some 3rd parties were using PCs for both. MS does seem a bit behind.

Really? that's your argument?.... Is that the only line of defense for PS? I don't need football, I don't need TV, I don't need online downloads, I don't need Skype.... I just need games... Games that are not even out? You don't even have a clue if the games that PS4 will produce will even suck or not.... So how the hell can you sit there and tell me you don't need or need something you haven't even gotten a chance to experience yet. Well go trade in your w/e the hell you drive for a pos car with no features because screw features like power windows, powered seats, power steering, a/c all those features that makes life better but you don't need. And to compare the Kinect 1 to Kinect 2 is just plain ignorant on your part because you have not one clue on the new Kinect system and the way that its no longer even used the same way the Kinect 1 was. But you wouldn't know that right? Because screw information and doing research. Because actually looking at something and having a thought other than the first fart that comes out your brain is just simply too much work. Because the Kinect is no longer just simply a motion tracker separate controller for those few kiddie games but it is now part of the new Xbox One controller where both work together towards your GAMING experience not your sports/working out/ physical experience.
At the end of the day it's all about preference. Salvy prefers the Xbox One. It's easy to leave it at that.

I have the kinect for the 360 as well...and I have yet to even hook it up after almost 2 years. But, if you think that the Kinect 2 is even in the same ballpark as the first one, then you're mistaken. There will be so many uses for the Kinect along with a ton of possibilities. My guess is that developers will make very good use of it, since it is so much more high tech than the previous version. It can actually be useful this time around for something other than a dumb bowling/tennis game.
I thought Salvy was just trolling. Thought he admitted to such in one of the previous threads, which is why I haven't bothered to reply to any of his posts (make sense given that everything ends up being "PS4 vs Xbox One" in his posts).
Not trolling.... I just simply reply to those who make false statements on things they don't know... I have not once said PS4 sucks... Have I? I have just simply said that the Xbox One has more advantages and have spoken my mind on why but I have yet to have had someone explain to me otherwise. If PS4 releases something that interests me I will buy one..... Not for one second will I have to think about it... Its not loyalty to a company, its just simply defending something everyone is bashing based on what? Maybe I'm wrong... Maybe the Xbox One is a complete disaster and the Kinect is as good as a virtual boy.... Maybe PS4 is the most freaking awesome console ever made....... And if it is I will gladly buy one but that is yet to be seen....
i'm not in either camps, i usually buy every system, which I have. but for you to slob all over MS's dick, it's just embarrassing. why the hell would i want skype and all this meaningless **** on my console. I have my laptop and football? I didn't know I need xbox to watch football. Basically so far, they're just wrapping redundant apps on the xbox and then have people like you think it's best idea ever. Explain to me what the new kinect 2 does that's so great.
Yeah, I think my issues is when someone says, "The PS4 is made for gaming and the XBox isnt"...that makes no sense. Sure, the XBone might have other things it's trying to accomplish as well, but as a pure gaming system, how is it any different than the PS4? They both have their exclusives and they both share a crapload of games...there is no telling which one will be the better console for gaming. Sure, there is a decent chance that the cross platform games end up performing better on the PS4. If that is the case, then we have to see how much of a difference there really is. There is a loooong way to go before it can be established which console is better for gaming. Outside of gaming, the XBone has plenty of so called "gimmicks"...some may find it useful while others wont. I have plenty of apps on my phone that I barely use, as Im sure everyone does, but we still download them and use them occasionally, right? Better to have than not to have. Same concept here. Nobody knows what the XBone is capable of at this point...but we all pretty much know what we are getting with the PS4. In any case, neither system is the better gaming system as it stands...if you think otherwise, then you are being naive.
Did you read the article I posted? That's just the tip of the iceberg. We have to wait to see what developers can do with the technology...and it is very impressive technology.
You know what Khandum, nothing. It does nothing great. Not that I know of at least. I haven't had a chance to experience it. So at this point I will let the defensive walls down and say the truth. I don't know.... Nobody knows. The only ones that know are the ones who designed it. And the ones who designed it are going to do they're very best to sell it regardless of what it is capable of or is not so it be pointless to ask them right? So truth be told Kinect 2 does nothing great as of yet..... Hopefully for the sake of gaming it does what has been advertised for it to do but how many advertisements out there are 100 percent fact......??
yea I did, and personally not a fan. I hope not all games will have kinect mandatory like raising your controller to block a shot lol. I spend a lot of time working and when I play video games, I just want to relax and not move.
The PS4 doesn't even need to be mentioned in half of these discussions. Hardware-wise, they are more or less the same. The "PS4 is more for games" tends to come from the strategies put forth by both companies. No DRM and all that (so better for gaming...presumably). Cutting out "gimmicks", etc., to reduce price and focus on gaming. Better hardware. Better indie/dev support and policies. Bigger investment in development studios. Etc. More about the focus of each company than anything I guess. But nothing stopping Xbone from technically being able to do much of what PS4 can do (other than policies/business decisions by MS). Though I also don't think there's much stopping the PS4 from doing more or less what Xbone is doing. Just depends on the focus of the companies. I don't think this is accurate. Until both launch, we only have a small picture of what each is capable of. (personally, I'm more excited about Vita Remote Play than Kinect/PSEye/motion controls in general...not to mention WonderBook crap...let me play Dark Souls 3 on the bus please, synced up with my progress on PS4)
Um, except: You yourself admit that no consumer knows precisely 1. what the advantages will be, 2. whether Sony can match some of those capabilities, 3. how many people actually care about those advantages. Which brings us to: First, plenty of people have given you legit reasons why they prefer the PS4. I'll even give you my biggest one yet again: since every XBone game released will have a 24-hour check... what happens in 20 years? Has MS guaranteed they will never, ever ever ever, turn off these servers? Even if they've claimed they'll try, I guarantee the EULA says they can shut them down whenever they want. So if there are games I really want to play a decade down the line (I own plenty of these today), there's no guarantee I'll be able to play it later. I'm at MS's mercy to play my game that I bought. And that's garbage. Second: You make hyperbolic statements like this that you yourself know aren't true. Even if you don't literally say the phrase "PS4 sucks," you know very well that this is the point you're driving at with every post you make. You've also made the statement that "PS4=360." Any even marginally objective person can tell you that from the hardware specs provided, PS4 is AT LEAST on the level with the XBone, if not slightly better. Yet "you don't see how anything the PS4 offers is in any way even close to the Xbox One." If you really think you're not trolling... care to explain how you make that statement and then get all shocked that people don't take you seriously?

PS4 hardware wise is better than Xbox One..... PS4 is 3x superior than Xbox 360.... My point was that there are things PS4 is doing now that Xbox 360 has been doing for a long time now like group chat.... No the Xbox360 is not a better console but it is a better deal as of now and prob the next year since it has a lot of great tittles and the price for an Xbox 360 is $200 less than a PS4.... Then again that's assuming you don't own a 360 already and played everything it has to offer... If you did then Xbox360 is worth $000.... Nothing .... Bring on the PS4.... Keep in mind thou that the Xbox360 still can be very beautiful in a high definition TV....... My statement on the 360 I feel is very straightforward and in no way hint at the least that the 360 is a better console. Its not. But if the 360 had the hardware capabilities of the PS4 (graphics), no cloud, no forced Kinect, no 24 hour check in time and so on....... Would people still be bashing the Xbox? or looking forward to Titanfall and Halo 5...... The 360 with PS4 graphics and its current dashboard and current version of live could very well be released as a next gen console in competition with PS4.... Maybe that's Microsoft should have done. Its what people wanted.....
