That was SA's best chance at splitting the first two. Miami had just come out of a bruising series that lasted 7 while the Spurs had fresh legs after a huge layoff. 1 night of rest is a lot different. Rest doesn't play a big factor any longer. It wouldn't shock me I suppose if SA won game 6. It just isn't likely, IMO. We'll find out soon enough. I keep hearing on the internet and radio that Miami's crowd isn't intimidating. I don't disagree completely but it's a decently loud crowd. They'll be amped up.
I think its bs that people can still vote in a poll when so many games have gone by. Yea I know its just an internet poll and doesn't mean anything, but it would be cool to see polling shut down after the first game or before.
How dare you say Miami plays well with their backs against the wall. How dare you say it takes Miami to have their backs against the wall to actually get motivated and play hard.
I would say more evidence points to it being likely than not. Historically Spurs are 14-2 in closeout games on the road in the Playoffs. That's a ridiculously high %. Miami lost game 6 at home vs Dallas just 2 years ago.
Do you have any idead how pathetic you are? A pacers fan, on a Rockets forum who only posts when the Pacers are playing the Heat or when the Heat lose a game to any other team. You don't post in any other situation. Sad life you must have. Look, everyone knows its a public poll. It's not like I chose Miami in 4. I seriously thought I picked Spurs in 7, must have been a mis-click. Either way if you pick a team to win in 7 games that means you are expecting a close series that could go either way. I still believe the Spurs will in 7 after Miami blows them out in game 6. Would love to see Tmac get that ring. LeBron will get plenty.
Guys, let me ask you all a question: Where would this series be if Danny Green wasn't so crazy hot? Do you realize that he has 25 3 pointers through 5 games? Do you think it would be 3-2 Miami or maybe already over if he played to his normal level and hit maybe 9-12 3 pointers instead of 25? Or would the Spurs still be up 3-2 either way?
How can you not play with heart in the NBA Finals? I've been getting roasted for saying this very thing over the past few days. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=8019389&postcount=2071
Danny Green is scoring because he is wide open(most of his 3s are just catch and shot/in rhythm shots) and is the beneficiary of terrific Spurs offensive execution...sure the Spurs have had their supporting cast carry them, but that was expected this series...Parker was supposed to be the only real scoring threat...and Lebron was supposed to stop him... But everyone expected the Big three to play like the Big Three...Not one person on this board would argue that the Spurs Big Three is as dominant as the Heat Big three...that wasnt their advantage...their advantage is precision offense, HOF coaching, and the ability to play terrific team defense...If the Spurs cut out the 19 TO they had in game 5(to a number close to game 1) why do you expect that the Spurs cant replicate success??? To your point of a game 6 blowout for the Heat...the Spurs and their Starters will have a tremendously short leash...If the Heat go out on a significant run, expect the Spurs to shut it down early and get ready for game 7...But I just think that the efficiency with which Dwyane Wade has been playing n these past two games, and the semi decent effort that Bosh brought in these last two games are all that they will produce...Bosh is gonna go back to chucking up bad shots and missing open looks, and Wade is just gonna get tired by the 3rd and 4th quarter...Lebron once again will have to will his team to win, but he has yet to do so in these finals...time will tell, but as many have pointed out...There are times when Lebron is on the court, that I dont even know if he is playing...thats how much he disappears... I do concede that the Spurs shot the ball tremendously well, but if they dont turn the ball over, they dont make mistakes offensively, and get quality looks every time...The Heat's greatest advantage is defensive pressure, and if they did play it consistently, I think the Heat wouldve already been champs, but they dont...they think that they individually are better than the Spurs, hence they should win...However, the Spurs just believe they are a better team, and hence why I believe that they will win...
SA has played desperately in games 1, 3, and 5 while Miami has done the same in games 2 and 4. You'll see the same Heat team (high effort) in games 6 and 7. SA has great players in TD and TP while surrounding them with good to great shooters. Of course, SA can close it out. I just don't think they will. Everyone wanted to crown the Heat prematurely. They had to do work against Indiana and now SA. Nobody said it would be easy. Now, everyone wants to crown SA. It takes FOUR for a reason.
Ha, Heat fans have problems giving other teams credit. Well, the Heat were lazy, they weren't really trying, so and so got hot. Danny Green and the Spurs got totally hot and lucky! Dirk and those Mavs shooters got totally hot and lucky! The Heat didn't lose these games, they just ran out of time!
Judging by some of the **** you've said in this thread, he's definitely not as pathetic as you. You come off as one big sore loser.
Have you gone through my posts on here in the entire DECADE since I joined? I'm a Pacer fan. You can tell that from my screen name. I don't hide it like some Lebron nut-hugger, such as you. I post in the draft forum on occasion and have posted in the Rockets forum frequently in the past. I've always had a secondary fondness for the Rockets (my wife went to Rice and roots for them) and I have come to respect the opinions of many here (yourself excluded). I cheer for the Pacers, secondarily for the Rockets, and yes I have come to dislike the Heat for good reasons. They are a bunch of whiny entitled floppers who think the world revolves around them. If they lose, then great! If that makes me evil then you must not like 95% of NBA fans, who fell the same way. Every poll on "who is it that you want to win" strongly favors SA in any state other than Florida.
Spurs aren't getting lucky, but let's be fair, Danny Green will NEVER duplicate anything like this again. He's a three point shooting role player having the series of his life.
