Yes! It's only wise to keep McHale, Sampson and Finch for championship!

The link doesn't say the Rockets told the Celtics this, that the Celtics asked, that McHale asked, that they are talking, etc. People are reading too much into this. This is likely nothing more than a writer wondering about potential replacements for Doc Rivers and asking someone with the ROX about McHale and being told a flat no.

No story there other than the one the writer created.

McHale is a HOFer that played in a celtics jersey. There's more to it than winning or losing.

    This.

Trade discussions because the Rockets won't let McHale walk to the Celtics if Doc leaves? What?

Well great if McHale wants to go back to the team where he made his name than I'm all for it and Rox should let him go. The Celtics would suck though.

What is this insider with a rumor about Asik being traded?

How? Why? I don't think it means that at all. What it does mean is Doc Rivers leaves for LAC and Chris Paul will be more than happy to sign an extension , which means he's off the market. Garnett and possibly Pierce joins LAC and all of a sudden D12 may look across the locker room and see something special going on... That's what that means!!!! McHale played and starred in Boston so what better replacement for Rivers then Boston's own HOF PF!!!!

    Asik isn't going to Boston

Dr. J said that any time you trade with the Celtics or Lakers you get the short end of the trade. This was in reference to the Bynum Howard three way trade. He said that because the Lakers and Celtics are historically the best teams in the league and they tend to make good decision and players want to play there. I agree the Celtics are on a downward trend but it probably won't last long so if he did decide to go back to Boston, its probably not the worst thing he can do.

Can't wait until free agency is officially open!

McHale + Lin/Asik for Rondo. Sign Dwight, hire a Van Gundy.

Not sure how Asik plays into all this but I think people are trying to grasp to any evidence that points to Howard signing with the Rockets. Free agency can't come soon enough.

I agree on that; but I didn't create the rumor. I'm sure it would include some future firsts or something too as well as a 2nd or two this year.

How is there not a rumor? A rumor doesn't have to have any factual basis to it.

It's not an insider rumor, it's just a message board fantasy. I'm sure the Celtics would love to get Asik and anything for a guy they want to buy out anyway. I'm sure the Rockets have no interest in dumping Asik for garbage.
