Picketing, no. Disagreeing with abortion is not a political issue, despite the common belief.. When they start involving politicians, then yes. They should not be writing or endorsing politicians as a church.

Again, they are addressing candidates and politics. They have a right to preach their moral beliefs, but they should not be engaging the political system at all.

If churches start losing tax exempt status for being politically active, then 99% of black churches would lose their exempt status.

Yeah, the last time we saw this from gwayneco was right before the election last year.

Just pointing out the hypocrisy. Libtards get all worked up when conservative Christians get involved in politics, yet are strangely quiet when black congregations do the same from the left side of the political spectrum. I'm ok with both forms of activism.

Since black churches are pretty staunchly anti-gay, I'm sure the liberals on this board are against their activism in the political arena as well.

Is there a thread on here where black churches and their political activism has been defended, ignored or discussed? Your racial obsession is showing.

Once again, just pointing out the hypocrisy.

Getting back to original point, what has happened here is that our Kenyan president has weaponized the Executive branch and is using bureaucrats like drones to target political enemies. That's life in Obamastan.

No. Nobody brought up race in this thread until you did which you claim was showing hypocrisy which wasn't really relevant since nobody was stating that one church's activism was okay, and another church's wasn't.

It was only you that brought that into the discussion.

Hypocrisy proven. Libtards don't care about tax exempt black churches getting their liberal politics on. Nor do they care about other left wing churches doing their thing - say for example on immigration issues.

Hmm... no where in this post do I see the words "conservative" "republican" or "white" or "black".

So many issues. Nobody brought up which churches would be allowed tax exempt status and which wouldn't by race or political leaning except you. You were the only one. Nobody else. Not a single soul except for you. Only one human being in this thread brought it up and the screen name was yours.

We had a Priest come incredibly close to crossing that particular line during his homily a number of years ago. Shortly thereafter, he was reassigned within the diocese and no longer was he part of a Parish.

Keep talking like this gwayneco - you may be onto something!

Honestly, I wish the Republican party could purge itself of people like this. Want to win a national election again? Ever? Quit embracing commentators and organizations who pander to people like gwayneco.

Unless you find "Obamastan" clever - he covered the black, muslim, tyrant and big gubbermint tropes fairly efficiently in this post.

They might care if you presented any actual evidence whatsoever. Your racial paranoia isn't evidence of anything pertaining to your claim.

Being anti gay is a social issue, not a political issue.
