I meant the beef that the US has been exporting to Taiwan. I think there's some ongoing scandal because of all the hormones that we injected into it and so there are groups in their government that want to ban it while our gov is trying to stop them.

But yeah, all I remember is that 15 years ago when I visited, I felt like one of the tallest guys there (I'm 5'11) but in my recent trip I no longer felt that way.

This doesn't seem unlikely. I'm 6'4" with a 6'4" wingspan, and my standing reach is about 8'2" or so.

Truthfully measurements like this don't matter much with guards.

Measurements like wingspan, standing reach are most notable with Big's at the PF and C position.

A notable big that seriously undermeasured...

Blake Griffin: 6'11 wingspan and 8'9 standing reach

If the OP is asian then yes this is exactly what this thread is about. 6'0 is studly for an asian and worth bragging about.

They do. A player a with longer wingspan/standing reach should have better ball handling skills, and the ability to dunk easier depending on his height. A 6'0 guy with an 8'0 standing reach should have crazy handles.

Examples: Odom, Griffin, Rose, and Rondo

Edit: Rose is 6'2.5 with a 6'8" wingspan!

Why would you have better handling skills with longer wingspan?
Wesley Johnson is 6'7" with a 7'1" wingspan and he's a crappy ballhandler.

I would think that a long wingspan makes it harder to handle the ball.

while you all have been arguing over standing reach and wingspan, chris paul has flopped 47 times.

longer arms = dribble closer to the ground = harder to steal. Or at least that's how it's supposed to go. Wesley Johnson = fail so it's understandable why he is terrible at dribbling

It's not that studly. 6'0 for an asian america is only about 6'2 for a white american.

Standings reach matters for big mens while wingspan matters for perimeters players more.

    That's what I think.

I've stood next to the 6'0 Aaron Brooks. That guy is closer to 5'9.5

CP3 IS taller than 5'9. I've been next to him many times since his Hornets days and recently at AllStarWeekend/after the All Star Game. He is 5'11ish.
