Why draft someone from Kansas in the first place. The majority of those guys rarely ever pan out, if any. The only one that I know of was Paul Pierce.
You mean like Royce White ? Morey should draft more safe, solid, and tangible rather than looking for the next Lebron or Carmelo. Those guys only occur once in a decade.
It's much easier/wiser to draft for players who fits certain needs, ie role players, when you have franchise players to build around. Houston had to take chances.
I don't think Leonard's ceiling is as low as some people here like to think. He's only a 2nd year player and has already made strides. Moreover, it's been reported that SA's front office believe he can be a future Allstar.
We should be vastly more upset if we didnt get Parsons. But we did. So that is that. Many people thought Morris' post game and alike would translate -> mismatch, but it didnt. You win some you lose some. The only disgrace is this thread.
So we can only forgive Morey if he lands the best center in basketball. When we have very argueably a better SF in Parsons that he pulled out of nowhere. this thread blows
Agreed, I would much rather have Parsons so not sure how having both of them on the team would have worked out. Maybe we don't buy/trade for the Parsons pick in the 2nd round that year if we already have Leonard on board? Who knows but Morey doubled up on his "risky" pick of Morris by drafting Parsons who will arguably have as good or better career than Leondard. Time will tell. I like Leonard but Parsons playmaking and improvement every game definitely rivals Leonard's rise as well. Also, Morey has another 2nd round pick to play with this year to at least get something valuable for the failed Morris pick. Parsons + 2013 2nd rounder > than Kawhi Leonard? I trust Morey to draft a rotational player in the 2nd round again or use it wisely for something.
Down with Mawree. Such a disgrace. I can't even look at the Rockets anymore. Relocate the team to Arlington.
