i've been ****ting on bosh for his defense and rebounding the last 2 years. it's unacceptable to get paid as much as he gets paid while doing so little. announcers keep talking about how he had to "sacrifice". it's played out.
One thing is for sure if Spurs win the title and Danny Green doesn't win the MVP then a role player has no shot at ever winning an MVP in the finals.
Bosh is averaging 8.8 rebounds this series. (6.8 in the regular season; 7.2 in the postseason; 8.9 for his career) Bosh is averaging 1.6 blocks this series. (1.4 in the regular season; 1.6 in the postseason; 1.1 for his career) Bosh is averaging 2.2 assists this series. (1.7 in the regular season; 1.5 in the postseason; 2.1 for his career) Bosh is averaging 14.6 points this series. (16.6 in the regular season; 12.7 in the postseason; 19.5 for his career)
regardless of money him rebounding/D'ing up never played a part when they were winning so why should it be considered now? It was never a formula for their success
Bosh has been remarkable consistent in terms of production...his intensity was sky high in game 4 and even tonight...but the Spurs just kept making buckets... The factor in winning this series has really been isolated to who makes better plays at the end of 3rd and beginning of the 4th...so far...it has really been true of every game...something during these periods of the game has resulted in wins for each team...Game 6 may result in the same...Spurs were just red hot shooting brilliantly tonight...and they turned the ball over a lot...Just goes to show you that the Spurs have the offense to win...its really all about taking care of the ball and executing down the stretch...the Spurs have been excellent in the playoffs and there is no sense is stopping this now...Spurs must look at game 6 as a game 7...no thinking about another game...just go at this game with everything you have...fight for every possession, loose ball, this is your season...giving a game 6 effort in Miami for game 6 isnt enough...the Spurs really must look to close out Tuesday night...These teams have played some really good basketball...For all the offensive fire power, lock down D, these two teams have tremendous respect for each other...there are no chippy fouls, techs, etc...which really is surprising given the magnitude of these games...They are just playing hard, and knowing that their opponent will do the same...For these finals, I have rooted for the Spurs to pull through...and hope they get it done Tuesday night...
As predicted! Now, game six, I think the Spurs will be "free stroking." I think they will be loose and play well. However, the Heat will be pumped and will be very hard to close out. I think it will be a very close game throughout instead of the big runs. Tough to call, but I think the Heat will win and go to a game seven. BUT, I have this slight feeling that the Spurs will edge them for the championship. Either way, one of the best NBA Finals I have ever seen.
Bosh is doing better than the pacers series. He does need to play better, but: Lebron is a 4 time MVP and the best player in the game. He is drawing GOAT conversation for the media and needs to play like he belongs. He has to be the best player on the floor. There's been games this series where the best player on the floor was wade, or Parker, or ginobli. It has to be Lebron, every.single.night.
The Heat will need their role players to step up on Tuesday. IF the Heat can get the win on Tuesday it will be a close game on Thursday.
I had the misfortune of not being able to watch large chunks of games 4 & 5. From what I did see and from the box scores: 1. I thought the Spurs were done after game 4 because TP basically admitted his hammy hindered him in the 2nd half. With the talk of him possibly "tearing" it in game 5 by playing, I figured he was done and so were the Spurs. But he was just blowing smoke. 2. My previous opinion was the Heat would win game 6 no matter what happened tonight. Not so sure about that now. 3. It is very doubtful the Spurs shoot 60% in game 6, but if they get solid contributions from 5 players again, it will be hard for the Heat to win. I was blown away by Manu's 24/10 tonight. Can't see him doing that again. 4. When the Heat play with energy on both ends of the floor, the only solution the Spurs have is 3-point shooting. The 48-min energy level of the Heat from top to bottom will determine game 6. 5. Wade played 40 mins tonight. That may come back to bite them Tuesday. 6. If the Heat face serious adversity in the 2nd half Tuesday, will they stay with the gameplan or will panic set in? 7. If the Heat win game 6 and expend themselves doing so, don't assume they will win game 7.
Its a good series, i think the MIA Dallas series in 11 was more entertaining. more down to the wire games. and with dallas being the underdogs taking out the heat when everyone expected them to win made it that much better. My fav series of the recent years.
A lot of people point out how Miami has not lost two games in a row. Well, the Spurs have not lost two games in a row in the whole playoffs. And Miami has not won two games in a row since the Pacers series began. So if the Heat are to win the championship, they'll have to break some patterns in the last two games.
