Celtics (now?) want the Clippers to take back one of Terry or Lee. Rivers, Garnett, & Terry/Lee for Jordan, Bledsoe, 1st round pick.

Clippers are holding Bledsoe back for Howard, Afflalo, or Granger(although Indiana reportedly wants to keep Granger).

Does that mean they're willing to part with rondo?

    Agree with Bill

Not sure if anyone has already posted this, but what about a three way trade with Rockets,Celtics and Clippers to facilitate Paul to Houston and Garnett and Pierce to the Clippers, with Omer and Lin going to the Celtics? I am sure other pieces would have to be involved as well, but that would be the core of the deal.

This would allow the Clippers to get Doc, Garnett and Pierce without having to give up Bledsoe or their other assets, allow Paul to come to Houston and give Celtics some young talent to surround Rondo with. I think the Celtics have a trade exception as well, so we could throw Robinson to them as well.

I'm just riffing off the cuff based on seeing this, so I am sure the idea is rough around the edges, but I think the core premise is actually reasonable and not impossible.

Why would the Clippers do this? It is clear Paul wants to play with Pierce and Garnett in LA, with Rivers as his black head coach.

I would consider Bledsoe a pretty big hitch in the chances for this trade going down. And if you think about it from the Clipps perspective, losing Jordan AND Bledsoe for Rivers (who sees zero minutes on the court btw) and Garnett is actually going to make them worse.

Even losing Jordan for Garnett straight up, which Boston won't allow, is taking a step backwards for the Clipps imo. Who plays center? You have Griffin and Garnett, and it's far from guaranteed, almost guaranteed NOT to happen, that you can convince the Lakers to swap you Dwight for Griffin.

The Clipps brass have to be ballsy +/- stupid for risking all this Boston nonsense on a whim that they might be able to land Howard.

Courtney Lee is friends with Dwight, so this is really going to hamper the Rockets chances.

Paul Pierce, The Truth, being left behind by Doc and Big Ticket. That sucks for him. Monta have it all.

i'm expecting something as ludicrous as pierce for deandre (this one needs to be done after july 1), parallel with butler and a 1st for garnett, also parallel with green and grant hill's contract for terry/lee and doc (yes it really can work as 3 separate trades).

Can someone explain to me the fascination with Aaron Afflalo? "The Clippers want to keep Bledsoe so they can trade him for Afflalo."

What am I not seeing here? Is this guy not a dime a dozen swing man? They kind of guy like Courtney Lee that one can pick up via a MLE?

Can shoot, pass, defend. But yeah I agree with you on the Courtney Lee comparison.

Dwight and Josh Smith are very good friends, but you don't see him clamoring to play with him.
