Actually, I take that back. Thought Caron was expiring in 2 years instead of next year.

Lakers have fully resisted Clippers overtures on a sign-and-trade for Dwight Howard. "They will never do it," source with knowledge tells Y!

    I hope so

Brace yourselves ppl. There's a high probability that the Rockets wont get Howard nor Paul.

I've been cautiously optimistic and with all these reports recently, I'm not buying anything until Howard is posing with a Rockets jersey at Toyota Center.

This Bos-LAC deal could make me cautiously optimistic again since it would minimize a Howard-Paul union, but there's still an angle for that to happen.

If the Dwightmare falls through, we have the Smith/Milsap/Big Al option.

I'd be thrilled with the team returning as is because we have a terrific young group.

No matter the scenario, the Rockets are in great shape going forward, and I couldn't be happier with my team.

    Go Rockets.

I can see it already, Silver announcing with the 1st pick, the Celtics get Andrew Wiggins.

Boston is smart to blow it up now. Rondo recovering for half a season guarantees they'll be one of the worst teams......Green, Bradley, Bledsoe, Deandre and Sullinger would be worse than whatever the Bobcats roll out on a nightly basis.

I don't think I've ever loved Woj as much as I do now.

And strangely, I respect the Lakers a bit more now too.

The world is a surreal place.

Are the Lakers that dumb though?

Lets say Clippers offer Bledsoe and Blake? They turn that down for a guy who could just as easily walk away?

I disagree! The Celtics will most likely go after Millsap from what I heard. If they get Milly they can S&T Bradley and Bass for Tyreke Evans whom they almost traded for at the deadline

    Rondo/Blesoe
    Evans/Terry/Lee
    Green/Draft choice?
    Millsap/Sullinger
Jordan/Free Agent backup Center. Kaman or Dalembert?

Lakers publicly stated they would let Dwight walk before assisting him in a sign and trade. Could just be grandstanding to raise potential offers.

The fact that SAS knew about this months ago worries me in the sense that there seems to have been a plan set into motion. A plan possibly involving talking up Houston with the motive of forcing the Lakers' hand. Do they really turn down Griffin and Bledsoe (possibly more?) instead of letting Dwight walk?

This is the dumbest trade proposal in the history of Clutchfans.

Perhaps they think Bledsoe and Blake aren't worth the huge cap hit. Maybe they would prefer to save that for 2014 when Lebron and Love are available. Maybe they just don't want anything to do with watching first CP3 then Dwight slip from their fingers to their crosstown rivals. Maybe they are trying to send Dwight a message about how serious they are about keeping him around.

    Who knows?

The Lakers are not going to going to help their next door neighbors. No chance.

Love isn't available at all. He's got 3 years left in his contract.

Taking on Blake and Bledsoe doesn't give them a cap hit at all. Only 1 player is on the books for 2014 and thats Nash at $9 mil. Adding these two players adds on $20 million. Still plenty available for Lebron. And makes them more enticing for Lebron to join.

Bledsoe-Blake-Lebron + even Kobe (who probably takes a salary cut for another ring).

Even if this trade goes down, Boston doesn't have the cap space for Millsap.

Even so, that team above would go nowhere but early 1st round exit, even in the weak Eastern Conference, doesn't make sense.

what's with the assumption that lebron might leave? that's too far of a speculation.
