As bballholic states, why would a team do this early on in FA? Heck, I could even wait till the trade deadline, when more of these types of deals are made, esp. since BKN's firsts are pretty low in the draft.

Also, that outside business opportunity stuff is covered in the cba...I don't remember for sure, but I don't think it is allowed...

Also, it isn't as simple as moving Humphries' contract along w/ $4M, just like that. The $4M will have to come from like 3 other players (due to roster charges) or so, and the Lopez SnT would require filler w/ roster charges as well, leaving the Nets w/ virtually like 4-5 players even AFTER getting Dwight. More likely they'd try to move Wallace w/ Humphries for nothing (both), and that is just not realistic.

Could Howard and CP3 be talking about coming to Houston?

You'll have to explain to me why we're in a position worse off than ATL. I guess a SnT for Horford +Lou Williams to say LAL is pretty sweet, but Lin + Asik + TRob aren't that much worse of a deal.

Seems like a trade is going to happen, to get them to 1 of 3 team( if they move together) Dallas, Atl, or Houston(same three)

Hopefully, Lin left a good impression on Dantoni..... If the lakers are serious about their head coach( so much where they don't want to please Howard by getting rid of him) then they would have to value his opinion. And Linsanity happend under Dantoni.

Lin,Asik, and whatever else is needed for howard, I think it would be a win-win for both teams.( lakers and rockets)

I don't see what the rockets could offer to clippers that they don't already have (Besides a parsons)

I don't understand the point the author was trying to make, but I guess that's why they're bleacherreport.

Dwight shouldn't come to Houston because Rockets fans will never say he's better than Hakeem, so he should stay with LA so he could be remembered as one of the greatest centers of all time? That very well may be the dumbest basketball reasoning I've ever heard.

    it is dumb.

the tortured reasoning is more along the lines of, 'to be considered among the best ... gotta be a faker'.

Let the dumping begin. We don't need LA to get rid of our contracts. Morey will figure that out. I wouldn't expect Mitch to help us become the favorites along with OKC out west for the next half decade.

The point the author is trying to make is that nobody will care if Howard wins rings unless he's on the lakers. He's clearly a lakers fan. What I thought was funny is that he says "no offense to Houston..." After writing about 900 words about why the rockets are an insignificant franchise.

"Tim Duncan is the best player of his generation"

And he plays for San Antonio, and he's from the same generation as Kobe.

So yeah, gotta be a laker

Duncan is the most underrated player in his generation. Probably because he's on the spurs. Kobe is who everyone keeps comparing to mj in the greatest of all time conversation. Probably wouldn't be the case if he played for the hornets or something. Plus Kobe has 5 rings and Duncan has 4. That's why it's the Kobe/Duncan era and not the Duncan/Kobe era.

Only Lakers fans actually think Kobe compares to MJ, every one else thinks it's a bit of a good laugh.

Yes we really are laughing at your idiocy, all of us.

ESPN even runs with it by putting up lists that show MJ was better at everything, lol.

And how can Duncan be underrated and yet still considered the best player of his generation?
