Does a Harden & CP3 back-court really work though with Dwight demanding touches in the paint as well?

No doubt CP3, Harden & Dwight look better on paper but I think in reality a CP3, Horford Dwight core works out much better. Not to mention they're in the East so they'd be the 2nd or 3rd best team.

Al Horford has been selected as an All Star two times.

People saying paul, harden, dwight do you realize we just barely have enough to sign dwight to the max and that is if we get rid of robinson and white. How are we supposed to sign paul as well? The clippers wont take lin and asik. They already have too much money tied up at the center position.

Atlanta does not have the cap space to sign paul and howard. It was never going to happen. Paul and howard would have to take significantly less money AND they have state tax.

Maybe we have enough to sign paul....but we would have to find takers for asik (easy), lin, robinson, and white. Paul might have to leave some money ($1 million give or take) on the table, but the no state tax more that makes up the difference.

Out of the four, lin is the hardest to get rid of. At the least we can pay teams whites salary for next season and they decide if they want to cut him. A future second would seal that deal. T rob would me much easier. Not many teams want to pay lin $20 million over the next two years (especially if it means forming another super team).

Maybe we can package lin and asik together and send them to philly (if they dont re-sign bynum). But thats 40 milli for 2 role players.

This fascination with role players is something I'll never understand. Harden survived just fine in OKC with Westbrook leading the way at PG and Durant demanding touches as well. In the NBA, you take the better player every single time.

It's funny how people question whether Harden can adjust his game when before he came to the Rockets he accepted a 6th man spot on a Championship contender. Harden is more appealing then Horford as he has the ability to carry a team if injuries occur of Paul and Howard are having nights off. Horford isn't that type of player. He's a good, solid guy but nothing spectacular. All that said, I don't think Paul is coming here. He'll end up staying with the Clips

He may not have "star power" but he's not a typical role player. In terms of quality, he's a star.

Anyway, most guys here seem to be adding CP3 to this team for some reason. How about CP3-Horford-Howard then.

I think the OP makes a legit question. I'd likely go with Harden-Dwight because i think backcourt-frontcourt stars is generally the way to go, they are stepping on each others toes less, also opponents need to have very good D both up front and in the backcourt to guard such a team.

But no question that Dwight-Horford would be impressive. I think their games would complement each other pretty well.

Thanks for the insight. What exactly are these two wanting? And, is Chris also a BFF with JSmoove?

Horford is a fantastic player (believe me, I've followed the Hawks closely for many years), but there's not a single free agent out there that's ever going to be excited about playing with him.

Harden is the much better and more marketable player that's already helped lead a team to the NBA Finals.

The answer is Harden and it's not even close.
