ROTTEN TOMATOES WAS CORRECT. Do judge for yourself, but my wife and I just saw it. Loud, stupid drivel. I didn't think it was possible to screw up Superman. Costner was good, Morpheus was good, Maximus was good (despite hackneyed dialogue), but good Lord, it's just one long loud Neo/Agent Smith fight. And when I say loud, I mean loud. Boom boom boom.
This. I felt so appalled and bludgeoned by the last 80 minutes. Nothing really stood out. The opening on Krypton was no better than a Final Fantasy cut scene. For $225 million they couldn't out "wow" a video game. Amy Adams was nice. Henry Cavill & Shannon were good. It was better than the last Superman but not as good as the Donner versions. ...and if they have advanced terraforming technology why the f-ck didn't they use it on Krypton.
the donner movies are terrible. I liked the first one up until he puts on the suit and then it got lame and gay. 2nd was just awkward and cheesy. A Superman movie should be loud. Not some indestructible force flying around stalking a b****. His story isn't very interesting so i don't expect how you're supposed to make it like Batman. I mean what exactly were people hoping for? Now that the origins is out of the way, id like to see Lex Luthor go to work with all the new tech lying around and build himself a mech suit to fight supes. Have him win by making the people turn on him and exiling him from earth. Movie 3=Braniac and supes comes to save the day.
I liked it a lot. Lots of action and a decent story line. Much better than the last spider-man movie and I love me some Emma Stone. My wife loved it because she likes muscles.
This was possibly the worst movie I have EVER seen. I have never been so disappointed about a movie ever. I wish I could get my money back. How can you screw up Superman??????????
the A/C in the lobby was broken so we had to endure 30 minutes of sweat while in line. luckily, the A/C in the theater was working. 5 minutes into the previews the fire alarm sounds. what a wonderful evening.
Don't really understand how they screwed up Superman this time around. This movie was great for what it was. An awesome superhero flick.

If you like superhero flicks then you will like this one. If you are expecting the lighthearted tones of the Donner series then you will be disappointed. This is not a cheezy Superman flick, this one is all about kicking alien butt. Which is what I like in my superhero movies. Our whole family loved it. I especially liked Faora.

Superman is a fictional character portrayed in this very poorly written way overproduced movie, Jesus on the other hand is VERY real and someone who you should come to know.
