i was shocked when i heard about sims leaving. something major had to have happened in the last few months, because he had the opportunity to leave for the draft and opted to stay. honestly i hope we hear what the reason is and what the hell is going on cuz im pretty fed up with CTL anyway. its only been year and the overwhelming perception is he is in way over his head, and this just cant happen this fast. wouldnt be surprised if he isnt coaching the team by this time next year.

Eschenfelder, a studio host for Comcast SportsNet Houston, and Thomas, who hosts a midday talk show on KBME (790 AM), fill the vacancies created when UH did not renew the contract of longtime announcer Tom Franklin. UH graduate Jeremy Branham will be the sideline reporter for football, and Ted Pardee, a former UH player and son of the late coach Jack Pardee, will return for an eighth season as the football analyst.
