Yeah, I agree. Just pointing out that it's weird how it happened. Parker seemed to be himself in the 3rd... then sat an extraordinarily long time (long enough that he had to go back to the locker room, I presume to ride the treadmill and stretch out) as the Heat took control. Just baffled by how Popovich handled it. If he was that worried, he should've just sat Parker, try to let the hamstring heal and call it a best of 3.
YEAH BUDDY. This series is going back to Miami. Love to see the Heat hater clowns on full meltdown mode. The Heat are unbeatable when they are motivated. They are 6-0 this year in the playoffs after losing a game. Back them into a corner and you're in big trouble. That's how you shut up a bunch of annoying spurs fans who already declared the series to be over.
It didn't matter. The Heat were motiviated tonight and playing exceptional defense. Those 3 pt shots weren't there with or without Parker in there.
ahh ok i see your point...yeah that was kind of wierd...he did look sharp out the gate...whats even wierder is how many blow outs there have been in this series and yet how entertaining it still is
Miami actually tried. Just like the Pacers series, when Miami got backed into a corner and actually played with some heart they whipped the Pacers. The other games they lost they were sleepwalking. They will probably lay an egg in game 5 and then win the next two at home.
Miami deserved this one, team pretty much played on both end of the floors. Stars scoring all in double digits and forcing many turnovers. No choice for San Antonio now but to win 1 in Miami like Dallas did.
Great game by Wade... without him and this performance...they loose... But Spurs still have a chance to go up 3-2 on Sunday...they have too...or the Spurs season will end...Im really rooting for the Spurs to get it done...but their big three showed up...and the Spurs were less than average... They will need to really address this turn over thing... PS. If the Spurs are to win a title...they will have to do so on the Heat court...and btw...so far, they have beaten every one of their opponents on their home court...This Spurs team can do it...they have the talent to do so...looking forward to game 5...
It was a close game, mostly plus-or-minus 5 points, until the lengthy stretch that Parker sat. I agree that the Heat would still be the favorites, but Parker kept it close enough that SA was always a couple of lucky shots (at home, mind you) from taking the lead. The bottom line is that you can't be tentative against a desperate Miami team... either go all out, or rest up until you can.
ESPN had a stat that in the playoffs, the Spurs are +11.5 points when Parker is on the bench. The Heat were simply superior tonight, just like the Spurs were in game 3.
Wasn't Splitter hyped up big time on this board a couple of years ago? Maybe he will learn from this series. Manu has been missing all playoffs
if youre miami you have to like your chances...i just cant see green and neal maintain this clip from 3...theres a chance that duncan and ginobili break out, but with parker possibly injured and 2 out of the next 3 at home, plus lebron hasnt really been lebron...it looks like its the heat series to lose
Pop putting Splitter on Wade to start the game pissed of Wade and hence his great game. That's like absolute disrespect.
Calling it a best of three with last two games in Miami would not have been wise. Parker was good when he played and the Heat players shot 50% from the 3 point land. Unfortunately for them, all three (Wade, Lebron, and Bosh) showed up tonight. Popvich was gambling that a 75% Parker and hot 3 point shooting combined with a few of the Heat stars struggling would give him a good chance tonight and pretty much knock Miami out. I think it was a good gamble.
