    He'll probably be wrong again.

    Sam Amico:

The latest buzz says the Houston Rockets will make a strong bid for Indiana Pacers forward Danny Granger, supposedly on the trading block. Word is Granger is available after missing all but a few games this past season with a knee injury, but that the Pacers aren’t against keeping him.

    • Of course, it’s not exactly a secret the Rockets will remain in a holding pattern until they find out what becomes of Los Angeles Lakers center Dwight Howard, an unrestricted free agent.

Where will Granger play if he gets traded to Houston? the four? Him playing PF only works for situational matchups. Knowing Mchale's coaching style though, he loves playing undersized "small ball" all the time. smh

I agree, but if you expect me to believe HOF PF legend big man Mchale runs and believes in small-ball coaching style, color me dumbass.

I wouldn't worry about these rumors. While Granger is great trade bait, I don't think Morey will attempt to acquire him. We have Parsons. What we need to do is make a move for a star PF. Some of you may cringe at the idea of getting KG, but he's available and would provide a much needed low post offensive presence. If we get KG though, that pretty much would end the Dwight to Houston talks. I don't think Dwight and KG would get along... at all. If KG doesn't want to come, then make a move for Love at the deadline if he isn't happy in Minny.

Been quite awhile since Granger has been a reliable player. You don't know how he will play.

If we strike out on the big fish... Go Gasol first then Granger.

Either Granger or Parsons moves to the 4. Granger would solve the problem of not having a go to guy for the 2nd unit.

If the Rockets can turn Lin's contract into Granger's expiring deal. That's enough cap flexibility to stay in the conversation for LeBron next free agency.

    Beverly, ?
    Harden, ?
    Granger, Jones, White
    Parsons, Motiejunas, Smith
    Howard, Asik, Aldemir

    Great Plan C.

Good player; good trade bait in February. Not a good Plan A or B, but Great C.

Granger at the 3/4; Parsons at the 2/3/4. Matchup this.

Ha I told you guys trading for granger is a very Morey type move. If Howard signs but Paul does not it wouldn't surprise me to see Asik and Lin shipped out for Granger. It gives you the chance at a big 3 if he comes back from injury otherwise he's an expiring contract to go after another FA. Morey wants his big 3.

Don't see it. Granger needs to show he can still play. And he's quite a mentor for Paul George.

Maybe as part of a 3-team trade, because he's (probably) not the same player that used to just kill us.

I can see Pacers wanting Lin. They need someone who could attack and create.

It would be interesting to roll with 4 shooters/slashers and Dwight. If that is the route you go, then ideally all your perimeter guys are dead eye shooters and good defenders. Granger definitely fits the bill.

Can't see Indy wanting Lin since they already have a better PG, but they are a cash strapped team and Lin might be wanted as a cash cow. I am not sure I would move Asik for Granger. Hard to tell what Indy would even want in a Granger deal.

If you wanted to trade for him after signing Howard, then you need 9.3m in outgoing salary to satisfy the 150% rule

Maybe dump Robinson for two future seconds, then move Lin/Dmo/picks for Granger?

    Beverly / Lull
    Harden /
    Granger / Garcia (vet min)
    Parsons / Jones
    Howard / Asik / Smith

It would be very similar to the Orlando finals team but much more talented.
