"Alls" they need to do is find 2 teams way below the cap that can and will take Lopez and Hump, returning nothing but future picks. Then use the remaining pieces...pretty much Johnson or Wallace+filler is all that is left...to entice LA to do a S&T. Presto...Howard+Williams+(Johnson or Wallace) Scrubs= new Nets. ie Very far fetched...

Stop it. He mentioned the NETS as a destination. No houston insider or source has ever mentioned spurs or nets as threats... no national analyst has either.

He just pulling crap out of his butt...doesnt even know as much as most of us that the nets are not an option. The nets own beat writer said this isnt likely.

So they have to trade away their whole team and their terrible contracts, probably cost them a plethora of draft picks to do, and then risk LA still saying "no"? lol

Perhaps bc their legendary coach and player will soon retire. Their star player is 31. And it's SA.

He would just re-sign with the Lakers if he wanted to go in that direction.

    wth man...

I thought only a team under the cap can sign and trade for a player now? How then can brooklyn and san Antonio do a sign and trade with LA?

Dwight and the Rockets want to get the attention off themselves since it's a done deal. Don't want to get fined again or have to forefit draft picks so quick someone leak the Nets (LOL) are a destination... even San Antonio...maybe even the Bucks!

Also: Patrick Patterson isn't a Rocket. There's that too.

I would love Howard here, but I don't him. I say keep T-Rob, sign Josh Smith for bout 8-10 mil, Sign Al Jeff for bout 8 or 9 mil. Line-up:
    Lin
    Harden
    Parsons
    Smith
    Jefferson

    Bench
    Omer Asik
    Thomas Robinson
    Terrence Jones
    Patrick Beverley

    Eric Pincus ‏@EricPincus 35m

@megastahr @stevekylerNBA @ZachLowe_NBA Brooklyn has no real means to get Howard - cap space - no S&T over tax apron

San Antonio with Dwight would be scary, their chances of repeating (assuming they win the title this year) would be great!

A starting lineup of Parker/ Green/ Leonard/ Duncan/ Dwight is a championship starting lineup. I honestly don't see anyone in the west challenging them.

If 2 over the cap teams in big markets still find a way to find a way to trade a superstar despite having great opportunity elsewhere I might stop watching hoops altogether.

Who said Dwight is interested in San Antonio? How do you know San Antonio isn't interested in him? The tweet didn't say Howard's field has widened, it said THE field has widened. As in teams may be showing more interest in him.
