I'm calling BS on Lestar Jean. I've been at most practices and have heard the exact opposite in a non-open mic forum.
I pretty much don't pay any attention to what Gary Kubiak says about his young players anymore. In rare situations when he really criticizes a player to the media I think it has meaning (like Brandon Brooks last year) but most of the time it is total smoke up people's butts and indicative of nothing.
The Texans made an interesting transaction on Wednesday. They waived WR Dwight Jones. You may remember Jones from last year as an undrafted free agent. He quit the team during OTAs after claiming to be the next Andre Johnson. When Jones failed to show up for training camp last year, the Texans placed him on the Reserve/Did Not Report list. This gave the Texans an extra roster spot during camp and it also prevented Jones from signing with another team. He has been on the Reserve/Did Not Report list until yesterday. Waiving Jones does not open a roster spot on the 90-man limit since the Reserve/Did Not Report list doesn't count against that limit.
I was wondering what happened to Jones. I remember all the hype about him from fans and all his trash talking..."6'4', 4.4, 240lb. " He loved fours. Seems appropriate considering he's forgotten.
