Sorry guys Shaq is the real Superman, so it's clearly that Shaq would be our Head Coach next season.

exactly. You'll get "flamed" for saying that, but the facts speak for themselves. People like going crazy about anything Doc says, but I gave up I think around the 2009 trade deadline when it was heavily hinted that T-Mac was going to get traded that night and nothing happened. The situation is fluid and blah blah blah but none of those cryptic posts seem to result in anything except a waste of time.

And when we traded for Harden, no one had a clue.

I think everyone knows we are going after Howard as soon as he becomes a free agent. I don't think Doc Rocket would even bother making a reference to it.

But he does have some insider knowledge. Not even insiders though can predict the futures, just give us a glimpse of what the org is trying to do.

People on here give Doc a pass, but for what? He hasn't gotten anything right. But we're 'haters' 'newbs' 'disrespectful' etc.

It's one thing to say, for example, the Rockets are targeting ___. Because if one is really an insider, we can maybe see it. Somebody might be in tune with the Rockets thinking process. But to be an 'insider' and know what DWIGHT is gonna do, basically implies you're a super insider of some sort. To know what Dwight and his camp are gonna do, before even getting pitched? How are you that 'inside?'

People need somebody, or something to believe I guess.

Not true. Everyone and their brother knew Yao was #1 pick especially when we had franchise and mobley.

Please stop spreading things that simply aren't true. It looks bad for the real inside info when it does come out.

Next thing you know people will say docrocket was responsible for curing polio.

    Come on.

docrocket is good for this board and entertaining. I like him. But no need to overstate it. My favorite about it is when something DOESNT happen then we get the ' deal fell through' talk .. 'dude docrocket called it but then it fell through'

What about those folks that have been monitoring this board from day 1? Just because someone is gone or not gone for long periods doesn't make them MORE credible either.

    pretty much this.

I've been here since day one, and I'm sorry, but I've yet to see anything Doc Rocket has "predicted" come true. It is so easy to jump on the Howard train now when it looks like things are lining up so that when it does happen you can say I told you so and in some weird way try and take credit for knowing ahead of time. But if Howard doesn't end up coming here we'll hear the 95 percent of things proposed never end up coming to fruition spiel.

And here's the thing, I'm friends with someone really, really, really, high up in the organization that would know all these things... He's directly involved... and if I were to ask, (which I don't because I know the Rockets policy regarding possible deals and roster moves) I for sure wouldn't come on here and post any clues as to what I was told. I'd be dying to, would love to, but I wouldn't betray my friend's trust in me that way and put anything that was being discussed in jeopardy by getting it out in the open.

Ridiculously long cryptic threads and stuff like this is annoying to me and I just don't get it. To me, it's all for attention. But I know some of you guys find this fascinating so to each his own I guess.

Jay Williams was not the alternative. Popeye (Oleipere) said the Rockets were going to trade the pick, presumably for Odom.

Sure caught enough of your attention to come out of the woodwork to make a post about it ;)

Kidding aside, to me it's all in good fun. I don't get emotionally high whenever Doc posts nor do I go into a state of depression when he's "wrong". I just think the posters on here that wants to burn him at the stake because he provided "wrong" information from time to time are petulant and dumb.

    Excellent post SNAKE.

Yeah, I guess it's entertaining and stuff. But a lot of people legit get defensive when others question Doc's legitimacy as an 'insider.' Like they want to believe so bad.

It is what it is though. These same people are the ones calling for McHale to be fired after a loss, a player to be traded after a rough night, and screaming the sky is falling if the Rocket go on a losing streak.

I'm actually glad docrocket did this. If it happens, then I'll probably click on his next thread. If not, he loses all credibility and I'll just consider him a very good troll.

Cyberx has more time. Someone vouched for him, and he's given some info before a national story was run (even if the info was somewhat predictable).

No one had a clue about the Harden deal - because it basically fell into Morey's lap didn't it?

There was no deal on offer if the Wizards turned it down.

Then Presti moved onto the next one?

Which just so happened to be us.

    ?

Some of you guys are so unbelievably ignorant if you don't realize what Doc brings. Fortunately this board DOES NOT revolve around your opinion.

But it does revolve around your ability to click on a particular thread. Next time you see a Doc thread, go somewhere else and let us enjoy his company.

yeah I remember popeye. He was the one that supposedly died. Clutchfans mystique rears its head again. It would be cool if pops came back like tupac and started posting. That would be epic story and help us to get through the offseason. We need some fun around here.

And pops was wrong about that one too btw.

I think it's more cool, neat, etc that the best inside news came from a guy at the mall. You can't make something up like that. I mean how cool is that that a guy overheard at a mall? That's crowdsourcing at its finest. I respect this site from that point of view and appreciate that on its own. We don't need to fabricate things.

I am sure morey probably even posts here for shi**ts and grins but who knows. People probably shooed him off in favor of these 'insiders'

remember folks this is the internet.
