You may go down as the top 3 as well, but it is not looking too good right now.

its not his talent that is keping, just his mental toughness. It has never looked good in a single game vs the spurs in the finals (dating back to 07).

Everybody prematurely ejaced over the last game where he was pretty much horrendous for almost all of the game. Magic said it perfectly yesterday, he did have that awesome block but that doesn't make up for his ****ty play that game and padding his stats when they are up 16 doesn't either.

Lebron needs to show up, so far Wade is doing a better Lebron impression than Lebron.

true and mental toughness is part of it.

I dont hate the guy but it's really tired to hear people going nuts for this guy when there have been players like jordan, bird, magic, jabbar, etc.

Lebron is good but he is tier 2 compared to the greats. in fact it's not even close

Not saying he's choking, just sharing a tidbit:

Over the 18 games that comprise his NBA Finals career, LeBron has shot 25 percent outside the restricted area. Strange as it sounds, LeBron shot best in 2011, when he hit 34.4 percent of his tries outside the restricted zone.

I predict LeBron goes Boston Game 6 on the Spurs and uses some of those moves Hakeem, his big brother, taught him.

LeBron finds 'big brother' in Hakeem Olajuwon

Olajuwon lives in Jordan during the NBA season, catching James' Heat games whenever he can. But he'll be back in the U.S. for a short visit later this month and will be spend the summer in Houston.

"I would hug him," the Hall of Famer said when asked how he would greet the future Hall of Famer when he next sees him. "The friendship is real. I'm like a big brother (to James)." Read More....... http://www.foxsportsflorida.com/03/...Hakeem-Olaju/landing_heat.html?blockID=678080

I got blasted for saying it but I was right about his regular season FG% being so high. With the Heat system Wade and Lebron have been cherry picking shots like crazy. It doesn't work as well against good defenses. Most people thought his outside threat got much better but it really hasn't

in the 7 games he's played against the spurs (back to 07) he is averaging like 19pts on 34%.

Thats the edge kobes got over lebron. MENTAL Toughness. He have been shotting over 40% from 3 all season and know that the spurs give him the 3 and dare him to shoot, he is just afraid of doing it. Kobe will keep launching until he finds rhytm... his confidence is really high, and if lebron had some mental streght he would realize he can hit that shoot.
Lebron will never be goat... if he wins more championships maybe top 5.

they are both ballhogs. But at least they have all the confidence in the world. Lebron needs more of that, he just isnt sure of himself, and he is the best player of his generation.

Seriously? If Lebron continues playing the way he has and dominating the league and wins a couple more championships along the way, you don't think he may go down as one of the top 3 of all time?

And your comment that I may go down as a top 3 player as well is simply ridiculous and doesn't help your argument at all.

That would be nice, but it doesn't seem like he wants to do that. He should be abusing whomever is guarding him in the post, but he chooses not to. Don't know if he's scared or what.

Lebron is the big locomotive that could if he had any balls.

I have no doubt in my mind that if he just ball-hogged from the 3rd quarter on, the Spurs wouldnt have gone on that ridiculous shooting spree and the Heat could have won the game.

For some reason people tend to over exaggerate the mental aspect. Sure it sounds great on paper but at the end of the day you shoud be graded for your overall body of work, Kobe has balls of steel but that doesnt change the fact that his body of work is already inferior to lbj.

Lbj isnt the worlds greatest closer, I think that much is obvious. But thats practically his only weakness, and even with that flaw he still got a near unanimous 4rth mvp. Saying he doesnt belng with the greats when hes only one of several with 4 mvps is ridiculous, and hes not even 30 yet.

    From Elias Bureau:

30 players in NBA history have appeared in the NBA Finals in the season in which they won the MVP award. LeBron James is shooting just 38.9 percent from the field through 3 games. You have to go all the way back to the '50s to find an MVP who shot worse in the NBA Finals in a season he won the MVP award.

LeBron James went 2-of-14 (14.3%) on field goals outside the paint in Game 3 and has gone 7-of-30 (23.3%) on such shots in the NBA Finals. James has hit a third of his shots outside the paint in only 4 of his 18 career NBA Finals games.
Over the 18 games that comprise his NBA Finals career, LeBron has shot 25 percent outside the restricted area. LeBron shot best in 2011, when he hit 34.4 percent of his tries outside the restricted zone.

What does being aggressive matter if the result is still you playing like garbage? I can't think of a Finals where Kobe wasn't aggressive. I can think of 2 that he was downright horrible in (2004 and 2008).

Actually looking forward to this game. Hoping to see LeBron come out with some fire in him.

I actually fear he is going to have a repeat performance of last year and win the res of the games to close out the series.
