Oh, you were expecting to be able to watch games for free. Ha, that would be awesome.

Both look more similar than they ever have in the past but the xboxone does look cooler.

Still not enough to get me to budge on buying one.

Just pay the money man! Stop being cheap, most NFL fans don't care about $200.

So then the only difference is the live fantasy updates? Which you can easily get via smartphone/tablet/computer?

I'm still waiting to hear what all these multimedia benefits are of the XBone. So far it's like a $500 Roku/Apple TV with a webcam I don't want that plays XBox games and gives fantasy football updates.

I want to like the XBone. Someone please give me a reason to.

IIRC that was a problem with the PS1 and PS2, that the laser mechanism would pretty consistently degrade over time or with heavy use. Games would slowly start to skip and then eventually stop working after 3 years or so. I also remember that for some reason, turning the system upside-down or on its' side seemed to extend the life of the the laser once it started to degrade.

Was definitely a very common problem. But on the bright side the likelihood of a dead system in the first couple years was very low. So there wasn't as much rage over it compared to the 360.

If you don't want the Kinect, and you don't care about the things you can already get from somewhere else, and you don't need the exclusive titles, than the XB One is not for you. Simple as that.

Was definitely the problem with my PS2. My PSX problem was different, though I know a number of people that had to tilt their machine different ways to get it to work. Replacing the laser cost me $100 IIRC. For some reason I sent in for the repair, and bought the PS2 Slim while waiting for it to get back.

Internet wasn't as popular back then, and it took much longer than the RROD, which started hitting people within a year of purchase.

I'm afraid you might be right. Looks like I'll have to go with the PS4, if I go with anything.

No, I don't have a need for NFL Game day bc at least 6 games are already shown every weekend... And if there is a game that I need to watch, I can stream it for free. I'd take that $200 savings and give you half so you could get yourself the Xbox One instead of the PS4.

really? xbone looks like a regular box. I like the diagonal shape of the ps4 and the shiny look mixed with the matte look.

Yeah, I dont get the hate for the look of the PS4...I think it looks better than the XBone. At the least, it's more original looking. XBone looks like a shoe box. It took zero skill to design that thing.

and on top of that, the ps4 is tiny and the xbone is bigger than the 360

There isn't enough info on it. But I have to believe that a $400 million dollar deal with the NFL has to mean more than just that. Given their past history with ESPN and being pretty successful with that, I trust that they'll do something cool with the NFL. There's really not enough of a selling point on the multimedia aspect aside from the TV demonstrations they did because of the lack of details.
