Besides my love for Rockets, I have become a Pacers fan as well. 2 of the most exciting teams to watch. Both teams with young superstars, and bunch of hard working role players. I am interested in seeing how the Pacers use Granger and if he can fit in with George being the face of that franchise now.

Denver Nuggets, although the Karl firing has left a sour taste in a lot of fans mouths

Hollins won't go along with the front office's philosophy for improving the team. The front office dealt Rudy Gay and brought back Austin Daye and Tayshaun Prince, and Hollins is stubbornly playing the veteran player, just like Rick Adelman did with Shane Battier over Chase Budinger here. The front office understands that you have to keep adding talent to your group. If that means developing players, so be it. Even if they're expecting more out of the guy than he's capable of, if he shows enough, he could be a piece the lands them better pieces to add around their core group. The new basketball methodology I'm referring to is the methodology that uses statistical analysis to look over the moves they've made in the past and grade in them in such a way that they can make better moves moving forward. They don't have to rely on the eye test, which has no real check on measuring its performance.

I tried to just go to another team after the Oilers left Houston. I tried being a Saints fan and a Steelers fan, and it just didn't work. I just had to give up on football altogether. I don't understand how fans just switch allegiances.

But, if you can do it, I recommend the Pacers. Spurs are great, but they're due soon for a big shake-up and I don't know if you want to go through that right after doing it with the Grizzlies. And then all the others... well, they will never be good. The Twolves, Raptors and especially Bobcats don't have the right institutional culture to sustain winning. I know they've got some promising players, but don't be fooled. You'd have to be some kind of masochist to root for those teams. Pacers have had success in the past and in the present, and they have a good team that will stick around for several years.

You may get a hard time about. Though honestly I can't say that you should support a product thats insulting your intelligence. I think a more "appropriate" way to say it is to take a "moratorium" or indefinite break from your team. Instead of just just saying you're bailing entirely or you'll look like a "unloyal" quitter. And just pay more attention to the league in general.

There probably ARE times where you have to make the team HURT in protest. The Rockets made a risky TV deal thats taken away TV games from half of Houston. They're my team but they don't deserve any extra endorsement in my opinion.

But when its beef against a front office, that can last A LOOOOONG TIME. So In fact, kinda like what JuanValdex said about giving up on the sport entirely after his hometeam left, its possible it ultimately leads to that. (Well for my own reasons I've though of giving up on the NBA anyway lol. Maybe its how I'm understanding of it)

I think the following player approach is a good one as a holdover (Though maybe still take a wait & see approach with the Grizzlies. Maybe they bring in someone comparable to Hollins)

He knows what he's doing. Asking Rockets fans what team he should follow and then listing some teams he likes that are not the Rockets. The guy is master of taking jabs at the Rockets on this Rockets message board. That said, I don't want him to be a Rockets fan, I just want his troll ass to get hell out of here.

Hollins is a good coach, but Joerger was the brains behind his system. Joerger will be stellar. I expect the Grizzlies/Clippers to be the top two teams in the West.

    You should support Toronto.

A fan like yourself deserves to go for a team like them.

Why should we care who some fair weather fan should support?

Don't care what team you follow (didn't realize it was a choice), but you should stop following this board with your weird ass.

just take a step back and remember this is just a game we watch for entertainment than it probably becomes a lot easier.

balogna! Even if your team is horrible, it just makes it that much sweeter when they start winning. You can follow any team you want for entertainment purposes, but a true fan always follows his team as if he has stock in it. The emotion experienced by some casual nba fan that watches for constant enjoyment is incomparable to a true fan excitement after years of sucking and then winning.

NBA or not, you should support whatever teams they have in San Diego. That city has the most fair weather conditions among all major cities in the U.S.
