This hype around him reminds me of the hype around James Posey when he started out in Denver. Until Kawhi shows the ability to create his own shot, I don't have any hope for him beyond great role player.
I still laughing on everyone who says that passing on this guy and getting Chandler instead of him at the SF position was a good move
You have to give Leonard the edge over Parsons. His wingspan, defense and ability to snag rebounds in traffic are advantages Parsons will not close the gap on. He also has the huge advantage of playing for Pop his first two years instead of McHale. Considering he's nearly 3 years younger, you have to think Leonard's upside is higher. His development on offense will determine he good he becomes. I like Parsons a lot though. He's a creator off the dribble and a distributor on offense. I doubt that ever becomes a strength of Leonard's.
If Parsons was on the spurs than plenty of Rockets fans would be b****ing about us passing him up for Kawhi. Both are very good players and not really worth whining about. Not like Parsons is a bust.
I'd rather have both but I dont understand the tears over not drafting Kawhi when we got a player who wouldve been top 5 if you redid that awful draft.
Who gives a care about their contracts? They are irrelevant. Both guys are on rookie deals that are absolute steals for their teams.
You people can never be satisfied, Parsons is a great find that's like people getting mad for the Rockets picking Hakeem over Jordan in a role player sense
Why is everyone talking about parsons??? We choose marcus morris over kawhi. We had the 14th pick and picked morris. Kawhi went at 15. I really want kawhi since i have been went to several sdsu games and saw his upside. Oh well
