I'm sure they are aware of that. It's in early stages so it won't be out for a while. They prob didn't want to put too much on video since they are still trying to figure what to do.

Well, Mirror Edge's biggest flaw was its combat. They did the free running thing pretty well the first time around. This game has me pretty interested.

Yo, mr moneybags, you want me to private message you my Paypal account so you can send me the "insignificant" amount of 100 bucks (heck I'd be ecstatic for 50!)
Thinking about it in gaming terms, that's almost 2 new new release games. And the way I buy games it's at least 4 games (often more).

I listed that I'd get both systems...however, I think Im leaning towards getting the XBone first now. I'll probably change my mind a bunch of times, but XBone for now.

First reason...because I like the exclusives more.

Second, I get all the extra multimedia stuff with it. Group video calls via Skype is something that can be pretty huge for me. Fantasy football, live TV, etc... It's nice to have everything integrated ON TOP of the games (Games are the most important factor, so everything else is a bonus).

I dont care for buying or selling used games...Im always connected to the internet...and I dont really care if the kinect is always on...throw a shirt over the camera and you're protected from someone watching you. As far as someone listening to my voice...if Im worried about that, I should be worried about using my cell phone. Im not...and in case I get paranoid because someone might be listening to my plan of conquering the world, I'll disconnect it from the wall or step into another room.

This system just seems like it can be capable of much more than the PS4, if used properly and developed in the right way. The PS4 is just a souped up PS3/Xbox 360, imo...and unless there is some additional news about the exclusive games, I'll buy the PS4 down the line, at a later date.

Lets see...assume 10 years of lifespan...That should equal at least 3000 hours of gaming, right? I mean, no sense in going buying a PS4 if you arent a real gamer (given that XBone may be more suited for the casual gamer).

You really think $100 is a lot when you stretch it out to that much gaming? If it is, then maybe you should reconsider spending $400 for a system, in the first place. If someone can afford $400 for video games, then they can surely afford $500. They might have to wait an extra month or two for a couple additional paychecks, but it really is an insignificant amount given the amount of time that will be invested in each system.

So i'm guessing this logic wasn't present when the ps3 was significantly more pricey then the Xbox and then proceeded to get its ass kicked in sales?

The point here isn't the price difference, its simply value. The 100 dollars nowadays amounts to a full game, or two used games. You can also get a full year of PS+ which also gives you free games with the membership.

Plus you get a system that is more powerful and less restrictive. The "less restrictive" aspect is important as overtime you get more value for your games. You can sell the games you've beaten to get a return on your purchase and also save a little cash if you choose to buy used.

Oh and i've yet to meet a consumer who walks into a store and says: "hey look two game systems who possess the same capabilities, virtually the same games, and my son doesen't care which one i buy. Let me buy the one that is a $100 more, because **** money."

First, when the PS3 and 360 game out, I doubt many saw that it would have the lifespan that it has. Also, the price tag was such a massive jump from what people were used to or expecting, that it created massive shock and confusion. That's why PS3 lost the initial battle.

Second, the XBone comes with kinect. It's basically the same price if a PS4 consumer buys the Eye. XBox may have been better off packaging it separately, but it seems like the technology is very impressive with the Kinect...if they can really push it's limits and develop it properly, that's an area that XBone can really capitalize on. Also, like I mentioned, being able to Skype with a group of people can be useful for some. It will be for me, so the additional cost for me is worth it. If, 3 years from now, XBox is doing incredible things with the Kinect, then they will have a huge edge over the PS4...and at that point, the decision to go with an XBone would be a no brainer. Might be a big "If", but at least XBone has the capability of really pushing the limits of gaming. You cant be great if you dont take risks.

And as Ive mentioned, I dont buy or sell my games, so I dont care about that stuff...I give my games away to nephews, friends, relatives, etc...

I may be able to get more out of an XBox at $500 than I can out of a PS4 at $400. At least, the potential is there. It all comes down to personal preference. When the PS4 has enough exclusives that I want to play, then I will hopefully get that too.

going with the playstation. but not buying it immediately. Gonna let Sony screw up the first couple of batches and then have them fix it. When it's fixed, I'll buy it.

Currently I have both systems at home but this time around I don't think I will be purchasing both systems. I usually purchase my games used when they become cheap because I usually take longer to play one game so by the time I get around playing the next great title they are already old and used. Plus, it really saved me a lot of money. I am really intrigued by xbox one because of the all in one system plus other cool features that PS4 does not have but again Xbox is asking for 100 dollars more. Plus now I am pretty sure with xbox one I will be purchasing my used games at about 45-50 dollar range even after months of release. Thus, I really would like to upgrade to xbox one with all of its cool features but I don't know if I really want a headache with purchasing a used game that is very high price and possibly with no resale value. So I might just get PS4 for this generation and wait and see how does this DRM stuff by xbox one will shape into. I know eventually PS4 will also get into DRM therefore I might as well enjoy the used games while they last.

Yeah, might not be the most encouraging thing, but I see it as little more than a flashy teaser. I got the impression that this is probably still in pre-production (and probably not a high priority). DICE be busy with more profitab...I mean...more interesting things.

(also "EA," so yeah, they'll probably bring it back just to kill it again)

This is almost exactly how I feel. Plus I am a social gamer so I wanna stick to the system my friends are with as we'll. that being said, I probably won't buy at the launch, maybe a year later

Can someone explain the fantasy football advantage on the Xbone? I use the app and my labtop. Sell me. Will provide rep :)

My main reason for leaning towards buying both or switching my preorder to the Xbox One is Halo. I used to be a Halo junkie and wouldn't mind getting back into it for when my friends/fam come over. Or will COD suffice? I've been out of touch when it comes to gaming.

I want them to support sata 6/gb. So when I install a 256gb ssd, it won't go to waste.
