Would be nice to see Singleton get hot and carry the Hooks to the first half title. Would be good for the team, and nice to see for him

Pretty good afternoon for Asher Wojciechowski. However, he probably would've wanted a little better ending to his day. He got two outs in the 6th on 2 pitches, then hit the wall. He allowed a single, then a walk, and then Junior Lake knocked him out with a bloop RBI single to right field.

Kevin Chapman bailed him out, though.

    5 2/3 IP, 4 H (solo homer), 2 ER, 3 BB, 7 K

Looks like Adrian Houser, Kevin Comer, and Andrew Walter are on their way to Tri-City.

Non astros related but Gerrit Cole is making his big league debut right now, scoreless through 2.

Cole is scoreless through 6, keeping his pitch count down, and has 2 RBI's lol good debut I'd say.

McCullers has owned Buxton.... problem is, the other 8 guys for Cedar Rapids has gotten to him for 4 in the 3rd. He's struck out 5, though.

My goodness. By the way, this guy contributes for Lone Star Dugout, an Arlington fansite.

Kind of out of place here, but thought Jonathan Meyer deserved a mention. After an absolutely horrendous April (.424 OPS...that's no typo), he posted an .846 OPS in May, and is hovering around 1.000 so far in June. He's still only 22 in AA, so if he's turned things around, that would put him as a pretty legitimate prospect.

The astros have to see something in Meyer. He has been given the everyday job on his team for 4 years now.

Domingo Santana leads off the 8th with his 12th home run of the season. Corpus leads 6-2

Folty ended up in 5 innings with 3 hits, 3 walks, 2 runs, and 5 Ks. Only 66 pitches, fairly economical thanks to a stellar 7 groundouts with no flyouts. Damage came on a 2 run triple. His ERA rose to 1.41 in AA.

Martinez did what he does, and added 4 innings allowing just 2 singles, with 4 Ks. They've been a great pair.

    Better combo -- Folty/David Martinez, Doran/Tropeano, or Buchanan/Anyone?

For Quad Cities, Correa gonna Correa. He's only 1 for 1, but has 3 walks, swiped a bag, and scored twice. He played 50 games last year, and this is game 50 this year -- he walked 12 times, compared with 30 this year. He hit .350 in May, and is creeping towards .300 on the year - showing that kind of hitting approach at age 18 is really something.

So where does Folty move on the Astros prospect ratings? I'll go -

    1. Singleton
    2. Correa
    3. Appel
    4. Folty
    5. McCullers
    6. Cosart

Springer will be 4th. All 7 are top 100 guys, IMO

Singleton would be 3rd for me.
