I'm cool with DD, although I'd expect them to be cheaper. If not, and I don't care about getting it on release day (I probably don't), I might go with a disc.

    I can go either way.

Likely XBOX One for me. It's just the environment that I'm comfortable with. I enjoy XBOX Live and I'm really big on the movie streaming from Netflix, HBO Go, etc... I'm not at all a gamer, and couldn't care less about exclusives. I buy three games a year: Madden, NCAA, and NBA 2k.

I planned on getting the One as soon as it came out, but now I think I'll just wait for the price drop and squeeze out an additional year or two from my 360. Prob just invest in a 60" for the living room. Move the 50" to the master, and the 40" from the master to my daughter's nursery. Won't be a bad seat in the house. That should be enough to scratch my tech/electronics itch until I get the One.

Of the few exclusives for each console, Xbox One has the ones I want. So that seals it for me at the moment. But since I probably won't be getting one for at least a year from now, things could change.

Yeah, I would really want them to be cheaper, even like $10.

If XBone is smart, they definitely need to present a cheaper way of getting games, since they are essentially eliminating the used game market. That's the easiest way they can turn around the negativity they have spread to all the gamers.

Like stated in the Xbox One thread:

The ridiculous restrictions on the check in feature, always on, 1 hour limit for bringing a game to a friends, 24hr offline allowance, no backward compatibility of any kind (I mean is it really that hard to code an emulator for XBLA games?)..etc. I am not paying for a system where I essentially "rent" a game from M$

I have been a huge Xbox supporter. They have done me well over the years (XBL member since launch) but this system has left a huge sour taste in my mouth. I want a video game console, not a restrictive contractual rental box. Its ridiculous and I think M$ is making a HUGE mistake here...

    I will be getting a PS4

I'll be getting the Xbox one.

    I love me some halo

I love me some fantasy football

I haven't bought a used game in over 10 years

I only play games for multiplayer online

Love being able to download games

I don't share games nor trade them in

That is why I'm getting the Xbox one

if you are not buying it for gaming I would definitely wait. The PS3 and xbox 360 stream movies from Netflix just fine. It is after all suppose to be a GAMING system. I think $500 + online fees is just too pricey if all you want is to use it for media

I do enjoy Madden, NCAA, and NBA 2k as well. And at times, can spend a considerable amount of time playing them.Additionally, XBone is doing a good job of bring new aspects to the media part of it. It's not a must have for me, but I'm def interested.

Someone else brought up a good point on MS' ability and foresight to add to thier console's experience down the road. When I got my 360, never did I think that it would be used for media consumption just as much as it's used for gaming. I'd imagine that there are similar things instore for the One.

I was originally leaning towards XBOX 1 because of brand loyalty and the games and versions of the games that XBOX 360 has had. I far prefer them to the PS3 games. But with PS4 going to be $100 cheaper, and the whole microphone and camera always on type thing, I'm leaning towards PS4 now.

Of course in the end it will be which system has the best versions of the games I want to play.

Well if the poll here and all the other online polls I've seen across the net are any indication of sales I think MS might be in trouble. The whole online checking in system has really turned a lot of people off. Almost reminds me of the EA debacle with the whole Sim City 5 launch.
If less people buy the xbox one then the PS4 is defintiely going to be the lead platform for development on most games. What this means is they will develop the game on the PS4 and just port it over to the xbox one. The systems are more similar than ever when it comes to hardware so there might not be any huge differences but in the past the lead system generally is a bit more polished with slightly better graphics.

Although I agree that MS has a lot better online experience than Sony, Sony made up for it for offering their online play and online content for free. It looks like Sony has changed that plan and you now have subscribe to play mulitplayer online games so they better close that gap with xbox live.

I have a PS1 that still works -- a PS2 that still works -- a PS3 that I still use and an X-Box 360 broken sitting in a closet after 4 months of use (I should probably send it in it's been there for years).

I think I'll go with the PS4 when I'm ready to upgrade.

I call BS. They averaged over $2k on ebay immediately after launch.

And there is almost no risk. Preorders can be cancelled, and systems can be returned for a full refund.

Xbox 360 was dominated by polls too but it was pretty successful. Also 360 dominated multiplats even on some games were PS3 was the lead platform. I don't see that happening again though since PS4's architecture is not complicated. I see Sony closes the gap in NA and extending their lead everywhere else if MS does not start backpedaling though.

I'm not making up numbers. You said a couple of days, and then link to something over a month after launch and only specifically mentions a guy trying to list a $600 system for $2k a month later. Look at articles immediately following the launch.
