It was this I think: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/APWTJMyM4qg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
EA has been talking big lately about abandoning DRM after the whole Simcity thing. Actually, I'm surprised they didn't have anything to show for Sims 4 although they said the game will be offline...they just use Origin for PC DRM now pretty much.
It's pretty darned gorgeous. The original Xenoblade Chronicles looked really great even thought it was a Wii game and hence really low-res and blurry on an HD screen. And of course, it was just a damned fine JRPG besides. I have to say, between the two trailers I'm fairly enticed.
Yes, correct. That. The trailer from earlier on in the year is cool and all, but there is definitely more gameplay and varied environments in the new trailer. Plus it hints rather strongly that there will be full-blown real-time mech battles and flying around a big, beautiful world map at will. The first trailer didn't do a great job of getting that across.

Pretty much the main thing I'm looking forward on the Wii U. Mario Kart 8. Looks like they're really trying to reinvent it in order to keep it fresh. <iframe src="http://widgets.ign.com/video/embed/content.html?url=http://www.ign.com/videos/2013/06/11/mario-kart-8-e3-2013-trailer" width="468" height="263" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
No, not really. Not when pretty much everybody else is pro PS4 too. Check out our own Clutchfans poll or any other XB1 v. PS4 polls scattered out across the internet.
Yeah but still... Go to Xbox One News on their site and the first thing that pops up is how PS4 is better. Not information about the console. http://www.gamespot.com/xboxone/ Then videos like this... <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.gamespot.com/videoembed/6409752&mapp=false&ads=0&onsite=0" frameborder="0" webkitAllowFullScreen mozallowfullscreen allowFullScreen></iframe> Meh, I just don't ever trust Gamespot too much I guess.
Gamespot is still my video game site of choice. Of course, it doesn't mean I trust everything they say. For instance, I thought their recent Dead Island: Riptide review was weird, not because the game didn't deserve a 4, but because they had rated the previous game a 7 and failed to explain why the new version is so much worse. Serious consistency failure there. Still, they've got some good people. I really like Kevin VanOrd. I like Tom McShea too, although sometimes I think he's actually a cartoon character, especially when he goes off on one of his rants about how military shooters are evil. Other good folks there, too. Although none of them will make me stop wishing for the miraculous return of Greg Kasavin. In any case, I tend to agree with Cannonball that it's hard to call them biased when pretty much everyone everywhere is having the same reaction. If they had seemed to be more even-handed we could complain that they weren't being honest.
Regarding reviews, I typically check out Gamespot, then IGN, then Metacritic for an overall perspective.
Full video of The Dark Sorcerer (there was a shorter version at Sony's conference): <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/BqeuHGESZBA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Don't think I'm too worried about next-gen graphics. Getting this ~6 months before launch on devkits. Pretty funny video too. Wonder what it could mean for QD's next-gen efforts... Spoiler I'm trying to imagine thinking that this looks pretty bad in a few years (like I did with QD's early PS3 demo).
