I should have said College juniors... not Junior college signees. You get the idea. I'm glad to see Lindauer sign since he still had an extra year of eligibility and wasn't selected that high.
Super Regional update: Vanderbilt trails Louisville 2-0 in the bottom of the 5th. A loss and they're out. South Carolina whipped North Carolina 8-0 to tie the Chapel Hill Super Regional at 1 apiece. The deciding 3rd game is tomorrow. LSU had their ticket to Omaha punched a while ago after they ran OU out in a 2-game sweep of the Baton Rouge Super Regional.
Vanderbilt is eliminated with a 2-1 loss. Tony Kemp was 1-5 with a strikeout and a steal (34), and Conrad Gregor went 0-3 with 2 strikeouts.
Notes on a few draftees Austin Chrismon (26) is the first player to ever be drafted out of Christopher Newport University. Christopher Newport is a Division III school located in Newport News, Virginia, his hometown. According to Astros County, Pat Christensen's (27) 44 saves rank 5th in NCAA Division I history. He also leaves La Salle 2nd in appearances (105), 3rd in wins (17), and 4th in strikeouts (206). Adam Nelubowich (18) also played basketball and volleyball. He's also Canadian. Zach Morton (32), when not on the mound for Northwestern, was their 2B.
This news was brought to us by our good friends at Astros County. OP has been updated to indicate that James Ramsay (7) is likely to sign. AC also notes that Austin Nicely (10) is currently "undecided" Though it's not mentioned in the article (link in previous post), it's probably implied that Pat Christensen (27) will sign.
OP updated. H/T Astros County Jake Nottingham's Twitter account: Clue? Just kidding. Jake Rodriguez is also in Super Regional Action tonight. Oregon State is taking on Kansas State in the deciding game 3 of the Corvallis Super Regional. It will be on at 9 PM Central on ESPN3.

I know, I know. Late-round picks signing. Not very exciting. Most encouraging is that Nottingham and Martin seem to be committed to the Astros. Although I don't believe that they have formally signed, they've given indications that they're certainly open to signing.
Not that there was any doubt, but James Ramsay can be moved from "likely to sign" to "signed."

Astros signed 7th rounder James Ramsay. Oregon State is off to the College World Series. Jake Rodriguez (19) was 2-3 with a run scored and was hit by a pitch as the Beavers topped Kansas State 4-3. The Crawfish Boxes reports that LHP Albert Minnis (25) has signed and will begin his career with Tri-City. They also believe that 3B Adam Nelubowich (18) might have signed, and he would likely be assigned to Tri-City as well. Also, bonus tweets from Jason Martin. Well, good effort on Kissimmee. Not the easiest name to spell, so I'll cut him some slack. Maybe I'm reading way too much into this...

Im out of here on Wednesday
— Jason Martin (@_JM55) June 11, 2013

@leslukach, thank you,kissamiee FL !
— Jason Martin (@_JM55) June 11, 2013

Looks like Chrismon intends to sign Dave Johnson β@DaveJohnsonDP CNU junior pitcher Austin Chrismon, who was drafted in the 26th round by Houston, says he will sign with the Astros and not return to school
Good article on our 19th round pick. http://www.oregonlive.com/beavers/index.ssf/2013/06/quick_for_oregon_state_catcher.html
With the influx of all these guys going to minor league clubs, I am wondering what happens. That is, do guys get canned to make room for all these new players? Do they simply expand their staffs temporarily, and cut later? Do they demote or promote as part of the process?
