In the end, both consoles with have mostly the same games that look and play pretty much the same. For me, all PS4 really had to do was not include all the BS Microsoft did about used games and always online. The cheaper price is a bonus. None of the XB1 exclusives did anything for me and as a current 360 owner, I've been more impressed with Sony's exclusives in the current generation. Don't know if I'll buy one at or close to launch, but at this point I'm definitely in the PS4 camp when it comes time to buy a new console.
I feel you, I'll stick with my 360 as well. Damn good console. But for the next gen I went with the consumer friendly ps4. I really hope that game developers and publishers can really step up their negotiation skills when it comes to the sales of new games and stay within a modest budget for games in general.
There is a plus to this though. I've been hard on the XB1...but if you are into motion gaming it is likely going to be the system to buy.
Does anyone here really play that much with the kinect and eye toy? Don't really care for either one just give me a damn controller and get out of my way.
It's basically a protection of products. You don't have complete ownership with Xbox One games. Devs and MS will still make money on used games.
That gimmick revived Nintendo from the dreadful Gamecube days and had MS and Sony trying to replicate that success with the move and kinect.
Usually, but we have no idea what. It should be noted that it has some exclusive deal with Sony. Right now it is sure, but if there is ever a game to come out and make it more than a gimmick it could be huge for Microsoft because Sony is behind in that department.
That's true, I hadn't even thought of that. Also, will the hard drive be proprietary, or can you switch it out like the PS3 with a generic one?
We have no idea? We know enough. If it was worth mentioning then detail would have been giving. MS and Sony have touted exclusive content for years now and it never amounts to much.
Not really the same thing though. 343 really killed it with Halo4, I feel like they'll do a great job with Halo5. With that said, yeah I'll probably be playing Destiny.
