    Houston Rockets:

    CP3 / Patrick Beverly
    James Harden / James Anderson
    CP25 / Francisco Garcia
    Terrence Jones / DMo
    D12 / Greg Smith

    Or

    Miami Heat

    Mario Chalmers / Norris Cole
    Dwayne Wade / Ray Allen
    Lebron James / Shane Battier
    Udonis Haslem / Chris Anderson
    Chris Bosch / Joel Anthony

Only because the possibility of Houston acquiring both CP3 and D12 is being discussed I couldn't wait to see what people think. Personally I think this would be one hell of a series but because I think CP3 is just as clutch as anyone on Miami and because I think the Heat would get killed in the post, I think Houston wins.

In your scenario Miami has two advantages: three straight trips to The Finals and LeBron.

I would LOVE to see if those advantages would be sufficient to beat The Heart of a Champion!

    The benches are both eh...

We would be better, we'd have them beat at every single position besides whatever position LBJ decides to play.

Since it's hypothetical, can we add a hypothetical Jontro for 3rd string PG for the good guys?

    I hypothetically choose Rockets.

I voted Miami because it will take us at least one year to gel and get our plays and team chemistry to a high level.

    Heat have great chemistry.

A team of great players will not be great unless they can play together.

Take Lakers last season for example. Even Miami's big 3 took a year to get it together.

    I gotta go heat...

With nothing but unknown commodities at our STARTING pf spot.... I can't say we'd win.

and for those who would argue that the rest of the starting lineup could pickup the slack for shortcomings at one position... Matt Maloney. ;)

Now go get me a freakin POWER FORWARD, MOREY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

The Heat have the best player in the game .... Wade is on the decline and Bosh has struggled. Both are probably top 10 at their positions tho.

The Rockets would arguably have the three best players at their respective positions in CP3 , Harden and Howard .

With that roster , you are assuming that Garcia resigns on the cheap and forgetting that two of Olbrect , Smith , Beverley and Anderson have to be cut.

At any rate , I think the Heat would take a beating in the paint , getting outrebounded by a wide margin & with CP3 running the offense you wouldn't give up many turnovers .... rebounds and turnovers are what feed the Heats offense. They might find it difficult to score while the Rockets would have an inside threat to go with the best back court in the game.

I'd have to take the Rockets ...

No lin? Then we win. Cp3 wouldn't miss the game because of a bruise.

Not sure if Wade will ever be the same player. That's the question mark.

I'd say the Heat for the next few years just because of Lebron.

Actually haven't had much time to post much until now. It's been a long time since I have questioned an aquisition of a Rockets player until now. I like some old timers on this board believe in Rockets first over the players and have seen enough heart ache. Players used to be acquired to make a team better not because it would help the team in a marketing sense. The Houston Rockets fans deserve a championship team like mentioned above. There are those who stuck around and fought for this team to stay in the city of Houston. So I like many am not going to appologize for being royally pissed off that the team I root for is over paying for a pansy scrub like lin who's going to cry in a corner of a bench instead of sucking it up and performing like a 20 million dollar player should. It's one thing if it is regular season but come playoff time... Suck it up take what you have to.. And perform the way you are expected to. The excuses are getting extremely lame and I see why New York didn't want to match that offer. CP3 Harden and Howard would be amazing if Morey could pull it off.

    Not even a contest.

We would absolutely get smashed by Miami, it would take time for Houston to have great chemistry and figure out what they do best.

    We'd lose, in 4 or 5.

Rockets, just because of Dwight Howard.

Granted, CP3 and Harden would be amazing, but Howard is really going to bother the Heat.

What if the best pg in the game was the best pg bc he knows what his teammates do best?

What if we had the best pg, sg, and c in the game and a borderline star sf?

What if a troll dreamed of becoming something other than what society had intended?
