Bringing up the skittles shows that you have no clue what this case is about. It's a diversion for lazy people to latch on to.
What is the history of Barbie Blondes and racism within the criminal justice system? I swear there is no poster as consistently obtuse as you. It's no contest.
That was a direct quote from Fox guest Doug Burns, a former federal prosecutor, this morning justifying Zimmerman's actions.
... and thank you for making my point. There are "groups" prone to violence and there are groups who are not prone to violence-- so much so that they don't even exist as a "group." Just because you can't keep up doesn't make ME obtuse...
Not sure why you are so hostile ... but whatever! CometsWin makes a living with attacking cheapshots. Are you saying that she didn't prove my point?
The people on the side of a debate shakily propped up with a race crutch and bag of skittles are calling someone else obtuse. That's rich.
Don't you know that race will not be a factor in charges being brought or in testimony against George Zimmerman? There is no racial tension attached to this case.
And if dispatcher asks you what a person is wearing and you mention a hoodie among several other items of clothing, the logical thing to do is call that person a racist and picket with a hoodie on while carrying pictures of the person when he was 12.
If a dispatcher asks you not to follow somebody, the logical thing to do is to follow them and then when you find the trouble you're looking for, just waste them. Brilliant. The old West has found the 21st century. I'm surprised we didn't suggest that he round up a posse.
LOL a YOU calling someone else Brilliant in a derogatory manner. You have no proof that Zimmerman did follow Martin after the dispatcher told him not to. Quit repeating **** as if it's a fact. Your position hinges on something that would be extremely difficult to prove. You manage to leave out the fact that there are witnesses who saw someone getting their head pounded in to the ground. Zimmerman had grass stains on his back and injuries to the back of his head. YOU CANT ATTACK SOMEONE FOR FOLLOWING YOU.
The evidence strongly suggests Zimmerman followed him, or in the very least, ventured out beyond what he (wisely) should have. That said, rewording the dispatchers words from "we don't need you to do that" to "don't follow him" is completely lame and a very poor argument. Those who choose to do this clearly understand the context between the two phrases are quite different, otherwise, they would quote the original context and not use the authoritative (incorrect) phrase. It wasn't a crime for Zimmerman to follow him. It is a crime to attack someone. Suggesting Zimmerman was the aggressor because he followed and not blaming Martin for attacking (if this was the scenario) is akin to saying a woman deserves to get raped for wearing provocative clothing. And the most idiotic assumption is Zimmerman was looking for a fight. I don't need to say anymore on this subject.
Obtuse post as usual. Hundreds of years of racism and denial of justice results in isolated incidents of mob violence ergo some groups are prone to violence. That's just brilliant. Giddy, explain to me what caused the Rodney King riots and the riots in Watts. Please also detail the long history of abuse and racism against Barbie blondes by the criminal justice system that makes it an apt comparison. Oh we can keep up, we're just increasingly finding it pointless to do so.
What we don't know is what happened in between Martin realizing he was being followed and the ensuing fight. We do know that Zimmerman has a history of violence. If somebody is following me, I absolutely have the right to defend myself if they pose a threat. Being able to follow somebody around on the street and then claim self defense was clearly not the intent of the stand your ground laws.
Or it's an inconvenience to people who'd rather paint a different picture. Whether it's relevant or not to the case, it is a fact that TM did go out and buy skittles. Mentioning that doesn't prove his innocence or guilt. Yet people who want to portray TM as someone up to no good will have a harder time painting that picture since it was obvious that it wasn't his intent to cause problems at the point he was buying skittles. Those people seem to get very irritated when the fact that TM bought skittles is brought up.
