Difference in reactions between white and black thief

If it would have been a Hispanic actor, the chain on that bike would have been off in 5 seconds and the TV station to never see him again....

 

Or the bike.....

 

Do that same experiment in a Black neighborhood.

 

TV crew would never make it out with their cameras.

 

We don't need a TV show know that **** happens all the time. A few weeks ago I was followed into a convenience store by two black women. They went to the back of the store where the sodas were and the clerk runs around from behind the counter and goes to the back of the store pretty obviously to keep an eye on them. It was disgusting. The women were chatting with each other and didn't even notice.

 

1. There must be some black thieves stealing from his store recently.
2. It's his store, he can do everything he wishes.
3. Why everything in America is about Black and White? And Black and White only?

 

funny all these vigilant citizens can gang arrest a little black kid in the park, but when jon corzine steals billions it's not even an issue

I can't say that this is entirely untrue, but the white guy is really poorly cast. Looks like a grown-up Disney kid, well spoken, clothes fit, and most importantly, his body language says 'I'm confident and belong here'. He's also a decent sized guy, so more intimidating to approach.

The black guy, on the other hand, while not exactly coming across as 'thug', has some body language that would key suspicion. Slumped shoulders, intimidated when approached. He's also a small guy, so not so intimidating to talk to in a shady situation.

If they would have cast the two guys as closely in body type, socio-economic background and demeanor as possible, this comparison would have been different.

You can say the same thing about the pretty girl. But she's a pretty girl so in most cases men would be overwhelmed by instinct no matter her body language or demeanor.

 

this is very true. How someone reacts and carries themselves says way more about them than race.

 

Uh, it's a store under new ownership first of all so no. Second of all, the store operator guy is Bangladeshi so, no. Third of all, the black and white thing has been made so by whites, so no. Basically, no.

 

Anything can be justified. Good job.
