That's one of those debates where we won't really know until both their careers are over.

Federer has 17 Grand Slams whereas Nadal just won his 12th. However, Nadal is 5 years younger than Federer. They both won their 12th Grand Slam by the time they turned 27. You could also argue that Federer won a lot of his earlier trophies in a weaker era of tennis, and Nadal has to compete with an overall tougher ATP. You look at their head-to-head matchups and Nadal clearly dominates Federer.

The argument can go back and forth with both sides having justified reasons for ranking one over the other. One thing that can't be argued is that those two are the GOATs. We'll see where their careers end. Hopefully, Nadal can keep pace and his injuries won't catch up to him.

One thing I think Nadal needs to do is win more Grand Slams outside of the French. His style doesn't match up well with the heavier hitters on the faster hard courts, namely Djoko since he has the court coverage to keep up with Nadal.

At the moment he's one dimensional as a GOAT- 8 of his 12 slams are on clay.

Even then, I rank Bjorg higher on clay.

    ?

Lisicki is the size of Serena's thigh. Mauresmo is a more accurate physical comparison and pales side by side.

    Lol, cmon.

No one is saying Serena isn't talented enough to be a top 5 tennis player of all time. But what makes her stand out .. gives her the edge .. and able to beat Stefi on their 2 best days .. is her testosterone. The reason I mentioned Davydenko was that testosterone isn't just displayed via a person's build. It is the juice that flows from their loins and pumps hormones into the body. Stefi and Nav have more estrogen pumping but Serena has a greater reservoir of testosterone and .. unless there is new rule that places a max limit on estrogen:testosterone balance, Serena has an edge over everyone on the WTA. Similar to the one Lance Armstrong had on the back of the pack.

These are 2 of the best female tennis players of all time, so qualities like mental toughness are already a part of the equation.

Except he has 8 on one surface. He is the greatest clay court player of all time. Rodger has been to every final at least 5 times. Even at 31 he makes the semi and quarter finals every time.

Nadal has a gold medal, 24 masters 1000 titles, and a winning record againist every dominant player of his era

Roger won a lot of his slams when he was younger beating Roddick, Safin, and Hewitt, and way past his prime Agassi.

Do you deny Nadal has beaten tougher players

nah i think Lisicki, Stosur, or even Elena Dementieva are more built like Serena

Mauersmo is built more like Sharapova lol

    ----------------

Also Nav is self admitted lesbian, many pundits and experts did to her when she was playing, what you are trying to do to discredit Serena now

Nadal will win one or 2 more French opens, then his body will give in. Djoko should dominate him on hard courts for the rest of their careers. I could see a healthy del Porto of another younger power hitter winning on grass.

Lisicki is more attractive than Serena. By no means is Lisicki a man-woman like Serena. But I prefer Petkovic, she is really cool. But my favorite tennis hotties are Ivanovic and Goerges. For some reason, I also think Jarmila Gajdosova is cute, in her own way, although she doesn't have a model figure.
