I drink all of them, depending on time of day, whether I want sugar &/or caffeine. Unfortunately there are no caffeine free coke zeros, so when I want no sugar and no caffeine, have to resort to diet caffeine free. Which is the worst. What I like about "zero", the coke version anyway, is they also taste less sweet, don't have that typical weird chemically sweet flavor most diet sodas have. Don't know if that's the idea or not. If I'm not going full sugar, I'd just prefer it to taste less sweet than artificially sweet.
Man, I think I'm an expert on this subject. I drank regular soda for until I was 19. 2-4 per day. Switched to diet because I drank so many. Drank diet for 7 or 8 years - the whole variety of em'. Gave up all soda for 6-9 months at one point in there. Now I only drink unsweetened tea and back to regular sodas on the weekend (2-4 per week). My weight has never fluctuated. Never had any weird headaches or bad feelings. I just don't like diet soda's taste much, regular soda is actually too sweet but they're so damn good every now and then. If I had to go back to diet I'd be drinking the 10 brands.
I take it their current Pibb XtReme is not the same formula? Even if it is, I also miss just knowing "Mr. Pibb" was out there. Great name. I'd occasionally grab one.
I don't really drink coke or any kind of soda, lol. I mostly just drink water. Is that weird? On occasion, I may drink a bit of gatorade after a strenuous workout.
I tried cutting down. Longest I went was 10 days. I try to cut it to one per day now. Being at home sucks because I end up drinking 3 or so.
I've gone a week without sodas now. Don't expect this to last though. Doing it for the digestive system and teeth, mainly.
Diet sodas leave a really funny aftertaste and just generally don't agree with my stomach. When I do drink soda, which isn't often at all, I tend to drink soda made from cane sugar. It doesn't leave you feeling like crap.
I drink soda much more rarely than I used to. Maybe one per week. But when I do it's always regular. The diets taste funny to me. I kinda feel like, if I'm gonna consume something that's clearly bad for me, may as well go with the full-bore version and enjoy it. Same thing with ice cream. Rarely eat it anymore... but when I do it better be the real stuff, dangit. None of that sugar-free or low-cal ice cream crap.
When I drink a soda, which is rare, it's a diet of some sorts. 9 times out of 10. My real battle is with beer. I've been trying to do more Bud Select 55 and Miller 64. I'm no connoisseur or anything when it comes to beer. As long is ice cold, it's tough for me to say no.
I can't see how you guys drink diet. If were to give up my Dr.Peppers i would drink water or juice. Diet sodas are undrinkable to me.
My perspective more or less. I never drink sodas at home, but when I go out, I don't see the point of diet. If you care that much, just drink water, which is never bad for you, and I honestly prefer that taste to nasty diet stuff.
